My favorite R&B Artist but this sounds kind of...out of time? That is, not sufficiently nostalgic but not like any modern music (a lot of Prince's later in life music gave me that vibe).
She should just go hang out in the studio with Anderson Paak, Wizkid or Drake.

If you're a legend like Janet, Prince, or whoever and making new music then I don't want to hear you trying to sound like whatever is currently trending (yes I know this is old but the same statement could apply to 10-15 years ago or whenever this was done.) Artists at that level are big enough that they are their own genre, so they SHOULD sound "out of time".
