Took a look at a nicer house in a better neighborhood and fell in love.
I'm prolly gonna make an offer. Ugh I hate moving.
The JO is 're-evaluating the payscale' I'm finna get another raise y'all!!!
At least that's the scuttlebut. Last year they knocked every field position up a few notches after high turnover due to low pay. They left "corporate" out of that, but I guess they coming back around now. I ain't mad at all, and honestly, I'm prolly gonna need it.

congrats on yours.
i'm cooling on getting a new car. right now im basically set to sticking to a hybrid elantra if they sell under MSRP or overpay for my trade in. i think theres enough improvement in it to justify it but im not determined to get it. i do want to look at a corolla hybrid as well though. i worry it will be smaller and i wont like it as much but overall it's a step up in quality.
i'm also thinking of getting a new sofa with some accent chairs. looked some up online and went to a store. the store had a version of the one i want and cheaper than i had seen. when i was looking at the payments though i was like eh i dont really wanna lol i think i just wanted a "deal". if they would had knocked the delivery price lower i might have done it. i did find out the chairs are cheaper online so i might go back and see if they honor the online price AND apply the discounts they were offering. if they don't maybe i only get the sofa and i buy the chairs online.
overall i think im leaning towards just chilling on both the sofa and the car. focus on paying down my credit cards then move on something when i get my bonus.

I took the week off. wife's outta town til friday. so figured it would makes sense for me to take off.
the real reason is to catch up on my studies. need to stop being lazy about it. I'm tired af of certs right now. not only certs, but just learning overall. been on this path for the last 3 years. I'm just about burnt fr. once I get this cert done, it might be my last for a minute.
I'm thinking about getting lasik. haven't really looked into it, but will see if it makes sense. didn't wear glasses til middle age and kinda hate wearing them.

Dude I am SO behind. I'm actually starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I think I'ma spend Saturday locked up, grinding. That'll give me some breathing room. > >I'm thinking about getting lasik. haven't really looked into >it, but will see if it makes sense. didn't wear glasses til >middle age and kinda hate wearing them. > I be thinking about that sometime....

Have a first interview tomorrow and a second interview Wednesday. I'm currently a gov't contractor and the contract is over at the end of the month, so this is a) perfect timing b) my best chance of landing something with minimal overlap between the contract's end

Wow! Its a good look! And better late than never. AND hopefully they look all the way for the folks who handle their biz for real (aka I'm assuming you'd be in that number!).

I’m in party mode.
Which means last night I took myself out for a steak dinner for the bday and then came home and watched a little football.
I guess I should be productive but besides work I’m in hard chill mode for the next day or 2.
Will probably work on updating my website and setting up my side hustle site.

Yep. It is funny what married dudes get excited about when the family leaves town. This sounds like exactly what I do with any alone time: chill, eat what I want, randomly get shit accomplished, chill some more.
