wow - 2024. I'm trying to figure out wtf next month is gonna look like lol.
I'm doing well at the day job, after deciding over the pandemic to take my career seriously for basically the first time ever. Before, I was mostly just interested in getting better at what I do (software engineer, for anyone reading).
Wrapping up our largest-ever engineering project and everything's looking great for launch. Huge effort - looking forward to looking back on this once it's over..
Also got my basement studio operational. Long time coming - basically my dream home office after a 20 year evolution. Looking forward to digging in to the design / organization of the space, but I finally have all the gear and space I ever wanted.

I'm feeling a level of comfort here I haven't often felt. Going to the Chi later this month. It's been TOO DAMNED LONG. I'm really looking forward to re connecting with family, and the food.
I am NOT looking forward to the humidity. Thank God for Hotel A/C
At this point, it's looking like sunshiny days and green lights. for real.

We're FINNA get a cover in our backyard. Right now, we have a little temporary bootleg cover that ain't it. It provides a little shade but it ain't what you want to have back there long term.
I'm also FINNA redo my 'sit around and watch the/play games' room. When I say it to my wife, I call it REIMAGINING.
Then, hopefully, once all of that is done, we're gonna be ready to stay our azzes at the house (again) if all of these poxes and ronas keep on doing their thing up around here.

weird how a broken side mirror makes a car look like a hoopty so fast. replaced it and now im driving real slow so they can see me. (not really but yeah lol)
planning to go out to the vinyl meet up tomorrow. might not get to do a set but im reworking it again and i think my latest one is dope.
started talking to a mortgage agent lender whatever. supposedly i qualify for a couple programs for first time home owners and im itching to get out of my current place so it might be the time to make the move.
