Elephant Man's Bones has some gems. I kinda feel Rocky lost a step or maybe doesn't sound as special with actual drums, but there are like 6-7 very good songs on the project.

About to check Black Vladimir right now. Just listened to the Members Only EP w/ Muggs that was very solid, got back on the Meyhem train

No skips, strong rapping and production, honest and open.

i think his style can get a bit hectic for me but this album is good.

His best stood out.

Some of those other “modern” beats that all sound the same brought things down for me.

Lupe and Thought delivered a plethora and barrage of raps and fun is there to be had.

With the Kendrick, the breakdowns are already out there so you should have less 'decoding' to do. And, not surprisingly, its another grand showing for that guy. I might not be the right one to ask because I'm a sucker for context and artists like him who go out of their way to give people something...I don't know...something that comes from an 'honest' place. AKA he's not showing up with what is hot and just that. There's not a huge market for rich dude/elite rapper therapy sessions. I mean, it kinda worked for Jayz hinting at doing it on 4:44 but that was forever ago and IT WAS JAYZ. And it was after Lemonade. But on the other hand, people are amazingly tired of Kanye so hey.

and I know what to expect from him: excellence. Same with Thought. Kendrick...I've been trying to keep any mumblings about it out of my ear. I didn't even go into that Kendrick post on here. I want fresh, untainted ears on that one.

i used to share my weekly Spotify playlist of new shit on the boards but stopped because:

a) no one really engaged so i just assumed no one cared

b) i got lazy and stopped updating EVERY week. it fell off to like every other, or every 3. i'm getting back to weekly now though

i really just use it as a way to keep track of new music on a personal level, plus a few personal friends/relative use it to hear new shit too.
