save for a few singles, but dude is a masterful entertainer. He’s also one of the best physical dancers, ever. When he did that tribute to Gene Kelly…I was like ok man, you got it.

I used to be a Usher "hater." Hate is strong word, I was never like "FUCK THAT DUDE!" but more just never really fucked with him because early on I always felt like he acted bigger than he was (I know... I know... music snob bullshit. I'm trying to be better lol). But sometime over the years, he literally grew into the role that he was pretending he was. And I respect that on some Vision Board shit that he like, knew who he could be and just fucking owned it straight up.

He killed it. The songs he picked FUCKING GO and he could do a plenty more in that same style of arrangements and have people thinking about his catalog maybe even more favorably.
Like most here, I see him as an artist who never met his masterpiece but still..he’s had some JAMS in his post confessions life. And it’s easy to lose track of how bonkers Confessions was/is. Sometimes IRL I say to people that it’s the best R Kelly album ever. It’s impressive how many r&b cats tried to basically remake it afterwards too.
And I damn near can’t take someone seriously who doesn’t like Confessions PART ONE with the Stevie harmonica solo on there. And SEDUCTION!? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid..jamming TIL THIS DAY!

22. "RE: What would you guys say are Usher's best songs?" In response to Reply # 13
I'm not good on ranking and all of that, but here's some songs I think of when I think of Ursher...
Seduction (excellent bonus track from Confessions)
Confessions PART ONE (WITH THE STEVIE HARMONICA SOLO..it is my favorite of all of the 3 or 4 confessions parts. The wording is wonderful to me and he delivert them vocals too)
Can U Get With It
It is What it is (Confessions is just hard af. Even the bonus stuff was slappin)
Love You Gently
Lovers and Friends (I know I know..I view it as an Usher song cuz he went first and he killed it throughout).
Nice and Slow (the rap is perfectly 90s and I'll love it with all of my heart forever and ever)
Love in This Club Pt II (everything up until Wayne shows up barely able to talk is my jam)
She Came to Give it to you (I don't care that it was Blurred Lines 2, it was a good time)
And there's probably a bunch from that self-titled early one that had hella 1995-sounding jams on it.

Yep. That’s another good one. Brother has some jams.
