What we need is more uptempo, lively songs, and this is that. Also, this will probably be Beyonce's first big song that gets alot of airplay in many years. Maybe the biggest since Love On Top.
Also, it's not just Robin S. There's some Cece Penniston in there too. It's just House music. House music has a template and a sound that you don't stray too far from in general. Anyone making new House today is going to be pretty close to what was done 30 years ago so that's not a big deal.

will resonate.
For people who aren't huge fans it all just sounds like "House". People who aren't devoted fans don't have the language or the knowledge to distinguish between Deep House, Soulful House, "Noodle House", as SoWhat used to derisively indirectly refer to it, South African House, Chicago 1987 House, etc. It's all in the same category for most people who hear the song.
And that's ok. The point is we just need to get something with some energy and life back into the mainstream of music. Beyonce probably won't be trying to crown herself as the new Queen of House or anything.

I remember growing up a girl wanted to set my boy up with a fine shorty but she warned him she had some medical condition that made her throw up a lot so her breath was rank af.
Has to be torture to be so fine with breath so stank.
