Went to this family owned Mexican coffee shop and trying this Boon Boonna brand Uganda coffee...its not bad

I will say that the Starbucks cold brew was/is mt shit but Im talking to coffees

NOT cut it in terms of flavor. I used to use the Keurig all the time when I'd be adding cream/sugar but for black coffee there is a noticeable difference to brewing full pots. I don't use a french press or pour over or anything big like come coffee enthusiasts, just a regular Cuisinart coffee maker. I don't get any rale/special kinds of coffee - typically either Gevalia from the grocery store or I order the Amazon brand as well. Either way, much more of a rich, bold taste than anything I could get from my Keurig.

Good to know. Going to have to investigate the Cuisinart now. Damn though, its so convenient and no more counter space lol. But yeah, things are not flavorful and it it takes Cuisinart to get it..well then I may have to

Nah but seriously in the pandemic coffee has been my thing

I order three bags at a time off Trade Coffee

They got roasters from all over the US
https://www.drinktrade.com/all-roasters

You can sort by roast level or taste

Every morning I wake up and grind my beans for my two cups, very positive part of working from home

i'm using bustelo now.

Pretty much everything they make is good. Cold brew, various types of roasts.

Great smooth taste, more potent than hot/iced coffee, easy to make, and easy to drink (no burnt ass tongue).

Its damn near impossible to go wrong. I despise starbucks but even their cold brew is amazing. Califia Farms cold brew with a little oat milk. Godly.

To me italian roasts are the best. Brands like Lavazza and Illy are top notch. I highly suggest you try them.

I drink Ethiopian and Rwanda from a local roaster here in Columbia.

1. I grind my beans with:

2. When I make drip I use:

3. When I have a little more time, I do a pour over with a Chemex.

4. If I'm just making some for myself and have time, aeropress.

For most brew methods I use a 13:1 ratio. (Get a scale)

but weekend definitely calls for a pour-over. I actually prefer the ritual of hand-grinding when making a leisure coffee. beans are rotation of whatever is roasted local (lots to choose from in Dallas).

my simple set up that I bought during covid when every coffee shop was shut down and that I'm still rocking now:

Mr. Coffee dumping 5 cups of Maxwell House or Dunkin' Donuts into a pot that really needs a wash.

There's an AMAZING local roaster here too, routinely takes trophies in pretty much every category at the national coffee tournament whatever it's called, and it's like 10 minutes from my place but it's always a special occasion.

I actually lived right above it when it first opened and tried getting in the habit of buying their beans, grinding them myself and had a slightly better (still drip) coffee maker thanks to a roommate at the time, but I'd burn through it so fast and it was like $20-$25 a bag for the same portion as the Starbucks/Dunkin ag you can find for $7/$9 at the supermarket/CVS.

Coffee is something I wish I could care about the way I do other beverages like beer or whiskey but it turns out my palette for it is fairly basic and the caffeine/hot temp is the thing I need most.
