I was really impressed when I found out she was only 20 when that album dropped. It's funny you say some of the lyrics are meh, to me what stuck out was that she took cliche themes and flipped the script on them and told interesting stories. For example, rather than talking about being depressed (which is almost a cliche in modern music), she has a song talking through her friend who is depressed and trying to get her head above water.
Black Dog and Eugene were my favs from the album. For Violet also had cool Portishead vibes. There wasn't a song I disliked, really.
