Not much of a fan of these covid type dystopian movies but this one is done well and makes me wonder how it will all end for us.

… there is always a doctor in the audience, we actually give a free subscription to a local hospital as part of an agreement that there we always be a doctor “on duty.” And there is a specific staff person with a headset assigned to be near that seat to notify the doctor when assistance is needed. And kids are not left to fend for themselves like that - not here at least, I don’t know how it is in Chicago. Kids in theatre around here are very well cared for by staff and usually at least one parent is always present. And if their characters don’t have to be in the whole play, you see them and their parents leaving at intermission. And that dude would have been picked up and thrown off the stage around here, if he ever even made it on stage, regardless - medical emergency or not.

about the wrong uniforms, insignia, etc. in war movies. I get it though, the first episode is good but does a few things to move the plot along that wouldn't really fly in the real world.
But if you stick with it (2nd episode isn't to everyone's taste either), there's some really great television waiting for you.

I think the idea is that word about the virus was slow leaking to people so people were just breaking out or dying. It was a stick in my craw for the first episode but by Episode 3, it was long forgotten. Stick with it. You won't regret it.

There is a mid-sized theater here in STL that does "The Full Monty" every couple years. They have actual Chip and Dales strippers playing some of the parts... Honey, there are like 3 ambulances just waiting in the parking lot. Those old ladies get IN TO IT! OKAY!?! They be falling out all over the place and throwing wigs/panties on stage. Even something as tame as the Symphony has at least 5 medical emergencies in a season. Of course they have to be prepared.

Like I said in the PTP post:
Ever watch a performance and be like, "who the heck is that?" and then you go search the internet to learn everything you can about that actor? That's what Danielle Deadwyler did in the episode. She was a force of nature.
Also halfway through I was like, why are these shots so perfect and captures Danielle Deadwyler looking like a beautiful piece of art? Also why does it look so familiar? Internet reveals its familiar because it was directed by Hiro Murai from Atlanta. Crazy a TV director has such a distinctive look and feel.
We watched the first 3 episodes and episode 2 almost lost us and really liked eps 1 and 3 and it turns out those are the two directed by Hiro Murai. Dude is nice.
The show builds tremendously from there. Ep 7 has the best use of a Tribe song I've ever seen on TV.
