"Poll question: How many JK Rowling books have you read?"

Im gonna go out on a limb here and feel that most of us haven’t read a single JK book.
And within that say that the authors in general aren’t typically thought of with film adaptations
Harry Potter is a Dan Radcliff vehicle
Fantastic Beasts is a Johnny Depo vehicle
Them Tom Clancy books are vehicles for famous white men
Willy Wonka is a Gene Wilder movie

And so on

Poll result (38 votes)
None (24 votes)Vote
More than zero, fewer than 5 (4 votes)Vote
More than 5, fewer than all (8 votes)Vote

It was a fun and quick read.

My wife laughed when I told her about it.

“It should be, its a childrens book”

Nobody read five and stopped.
The either read three and gave up on the author for good or read all seven
Like who’s the person that read only three HP books, quit, but read two from the extended universe.

probably because the specific age group that okp covers is exactly in the gap that's least likely to have read the books or even watched the movies

or it's because of the flawed criticism of her

it's one of those definitely

At this point I wouldn't support anything of hers, partially because she is a terf, and partially because through an older adult's eyes there's just as much racism and sexism in her books as anti trans rhetoric in her real life speech.
