Every time I saw it being reported I turned the tv off or changed the channel. Not that I don't care but I just see them and their bullshit.

Haitians at the southern border are being treated so harshly. Do they still got our Latino brothers and sisters in cages? Afghans being flown in and put up in Airbnbs. Everything about this feels so heartbreaking. Just seeing the men on horses threaten grab at and whip Black people. We in the 10 toes. The people wont cling to one another.

Talkinbout our house could sell at a 55k profit. Immediately checked out the listings from our side of town all the way up to south Austin. Everything our size is at least 60k more than what we have left and the only way we’d make money is moving to something quite a bit smaller.

That is how I feel about dating. I can’t completely get rid of my family - those relationships do stress me the hell out. I find a way to deal with work relationships at any job - there is always someone who is difficult but you make do. But I don’t HAVE to date. If it causes any level of irritation or burden I cut it off no matter how minor. And I certainly don’t seek out dating situations, because past experience has told me it is likely that I will just be adding problems to my life. Overall, I don’t see dating as a necessary part of life. Work, housing, food, safety, reliable transportation, saving for emergencies, etc mean more. People around me don’t get it. These same people have ongoing disputes with the baby mama and baby daddies in their lives, are stressing about something with the person they are currently dating or trying to date, living with mama/sister/grandma, are looking for a job and have no savings or transportation. My elders just sum it up to “y’all got different priorities” but I hate the fact that these people (not the elders, the ones who are dating but have nothing else figured out in life) act like something is wrong with me - like I need to get it together. It is like the twilight zone. I do everything I can to avoid problems and stress or only endure the stressors that I cannot eliminate and THAT is a problem to some people.

asked her to button her shirt up all the way. Granted she is young but that is just one example. Many of the people my age are behaving just as unwisely. She has a two year old by the way and is fighting with the daddy about child support.

Many cannot divorce these two. So when you say "I don't date." They hear, " I'm celibate, I don't need physical affection."

Which isn't the same thing, but SOUNDS like the same thing to some.

I feel you, tho. Shit seems, pretty much impossible.

because of Soul and because I now realize most kids movies, especially disney movies.. always have an elder dying in the beginning of the movie.

We watched vivo and of course old dude died 5 minutes into the movie. Gotdamn!!!

But I dont have the answers. I just hit her with a “hopefully its better than here but I have never been so I dont know”

When they went to school today it was team day so they rocked shirts with their grandfather on them holding a SB trophy. When they ask about my mom snd
dad I still get misty af.

I remember the first time my mom said she wouldn’t be alive forever. I was 12 and just balled like a baby because I knew death but never thought she would pass.

Kudos.
