"question about Costco’s return policy"

copped a Ninja air fryer/toaster

damn.. the wings came out tasting lovely but this will have to be used on the deck.

got it from costco and heard their return policy is pretty good. But can you return an air fryer once its been used?

is it common for an air fryer to smoke up the whole damn house?

the one the folds upwards when you’re not using it. We air fry the shit out of some wings. I just turn on the house fan, while it’s on.

maybe I had the temp too high.

twas my first time and I want this shit to work because the wings were tasty as hell..

but that smoke was no joke. Had the hood vent on too in the kitchen. I don’t want the whole house percolating for days.

I also sprayed the fry basket with avocado oil. Could that be the problem?

It will put off a little smoke sometimes but nothing excessive.

I would clean it out and check the inside. Give it one more try and see if it happens again. If it does then take it back to Costco. They take anything back.

I once saw a woman return an empty package of spinach.

turned down the heat a bit and air fried some chicken thighs and fries..

delicious.

I think I hit the heating element the first time I put them in so it was smoking like crazy.

Use the air fryer at a lower temp like 250, and once the internal temp (of a thick-cut ribeye) gets to around 110-115 transfer either to the grill outside or a cast iron skillet at a super high temp to get a good sear. After searing both sides let rest for 5 minutes or so as the temp rises to 130-135 for a perfect medium rare steak.

What were you doing wrong?

Also, air fryers are great if you have young kids. Tater tots, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, etc are done quick, easy and delicious.

1) didn’t do a proper burn off before the first cook

2) wings weren’t defrosted all the way

3) The food touched the top heating element

4) sprayed avocado oil on the basket. While they say this is fine I tried it without the spray and it performed much better.

I actually think the wings not being totally defrosted was the main issue. Cant wait to try this roasting pan with some veggies and fish or
chicken strips.

Returned some shoes that were more damaged after 4 months of use than they had any right to be.

REI accepted the return without blinking.
