>As one of these people without kids, who feels very targeted >by 70% of what you just typed, lol, that's all why > >Like, I'm not even anti-kid, I just got all my ain't-shit >habits I'm not trying to break! >
Haha! Having kids, depending on how it goes, can damn near MAKE YOU ANTI-KID! Don't let folks lie to you. There's lots of cool things but it can be chores too. And its so wild that you can mostly 'do things right' and still end up with a psycho kid who goes off the rails in some way or another and makes your life notably less fun.
And trust me: I was 'out there' for a good while before I settled down (wife and kid). And by the time I did, it was time. I was all bro'd out..happy hours, steak nights, clubs, skrippas, bro trips, all up in the gym taking my sweet time cuz I had hella time/nobody was looking for me, big video game runs, all of that. All of the dudes around me were starting to lock in relationships, and I was starting to do shit like 'go to a bar alone cuz there was nobody to go with me'. AKA it was time!
So really, I'm certainly not pushing on anyone to run into that 'having kids' life. Just the opposite: ENJOY THIS PART OF YOUR LIFE! You'll miss your flexibility. You'll miss how quickly you can just jump up and go do whatever on random days. You will miss the lack of interruptions. And you'll think 'man, I should've done a bit more before I got tied up'. And, depending on how you're living, you might miss the part of your life where 11:30 PM was EARLY. Shiiiiiid, now? 11:30 PM now feels like 2 AM..like, I need to get something going with the wife or I need to get to sleep. If I mess around and see Lilly Singh during the week and my wife is already sleep, I know I'm living foul!
