I don’t know the name of the Black woman in Those Who Wish Me Dead but she has the best action scenes I have ever seen a Black woman get. Some real “whole theater goes wild” moments. Holy shit. She’s worth the price of admission alone. Usually the Black actresses in supporting roles don’t get to really throw down but she has the best action scenes in the movie, by far. They did everything but let her lift Mjolnir LOL

I might check it out eventually, but I’m not racing to see it
I did see a great Q&A with the director, so I have no doubt it will be well directed. I just don’t care about the characters at all (unless they add some new angle not in the thread, that is)

Once they established the characters in that movie as basically immortal, the stakes dropped for me. I think I actually even fell asleep on it. The lady in Those Who Wish was pregnant, alone and in real danger, so the stakes were higher and the payoff too
