in severe cases, such as mine, glasses do nothing to alleviate the situation...hence, tediously hard shards of plastic (RGPs) on your eyeballs THE REST OF YOUR LIFE for the "win."

Iβve worn corrective lenses due to kerataconus for 30 plus years. And I feel your pain with the RGP lenses. But that shit is like old tech in 2021. Youβre rocking the atari of contact lenses if your eye doctor still fits you for RGPs.
The most comfortable and effective types of lenses for our condition are hybrid lenses by a company called SynergEyes. Theyβre hard in the center with a soft skirt. 10x more comfortable than the hard joints but still applies enough pressure to the cornea in the center for vision correction.
Get you an optometrist that can fit hybrid lenses and thank me later.

Man I got fitted for those old hard plastic joints back in the day and lost them doing warehouse work, just popped out my eyes. Happened again so I went to doc and she said if you look left or right and blink too much they'd pop out. So I sid fuck that and went raw instead.
These hybrid ones might be the wave I need, good looking out.
