"2021 MONDAY to THURSDAY poast"

This year has begun.. here's hoping and imagining it can't be as wackjob as last year.. but I don't want to jinx it so I guess we'll just see how it shakes out.

Happy new year family!

I had an appointment in DC scheduled for tomorrow. That joint has been canceled because of the nonsense that’s potentially bound to happen.

It hit today that my lil one is graduating in a few months. Four years ago, I was here sharing what the selection process was like. And here we are with her about to do it.

And yeah... Getting out of the bed to turn on the laptop this morning was tough. I just wanted to sleep more before getting up to finish off that charcuterie board and then smoke a nice stogie.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, YOU MUDDA SUCKAS!

Been raining a lot. Managed to get a moto ride in on the 2nd. Gonna be in the 40s this week so I'll probably be riding around the city a bit.

I've recently accepted that I have no idea what to do, so I'm just gonna do what I do the best way that I can and see if it works out.

Going hard in 2021. I have a good feeling about the time period coming up. With hard work and positive energy, we can all really do some big things. I feel it.

well, i think i want to do it but not sure how i should go about it.

i want to offer to start doing project management for new jobs. its kind of a mess right now and boss isnt delegating it to anyone, more just giving everyone some pieces at the last minute.

he sent an email asking about our goals so my first thought was to include that in there along with goals for what i currently do. would it make more sense to bring up the project management separately? before or after sending my goals?

Or, could your goals include project management elements, without directly stating being a PM? And then bring it up in a separate converstaion?

My business savvy sucks, so Im just rolling out ideas.

i have it listed as my last goal and i start it off by saying we would need to meet if we are to move forward with this one. its listed as involvement in project management for new items.

i think theres an 80% chance he just says thats nice and we dont do anything on it. i have mentioned it to him before but just in passing. just yesterday there was a big stink due to the lack of this so might be good timing where he might consider it.

i have it all typed up ready to hit send but thats when i thought that maybe i need to consider doing it differently.

Still seems like some corny-ass shit, but I told myself that if we get through this election without the country burning down I'm gonna push much, much harder in 2021.

I got a bunch of colored lights for the studio for ambience when recording. Gotta get another camera or two before it warms up in the spring and we're out riding.

In response to Reply # 22

Bass is tight. No more boomy-ness. Ice pick treble is gone too, and it sounds much smoother even tho it won't be broken in for quite a while. The old speaker sounded scooped, this one sounds flat. Much louder too. Gonna build a box for the old speaker and use it as an extra.

Gonna slowly upgrade the speakers in all of my audio equipment. Something I've really overlooked. Next up are some real studio monitors instead of these 4" JBL bookshelf speakers.

Some more candles too. Gassing up the vehicles. The looting and subsequent lockdown here caught me off guard earlier in the year. Not trying to be stuck in the house w/ no goodies.

I'm worried that we're about to get another "event." Something bad.

its happened to me a few times with a range of products. i order something, a couple months pass and i decide i should get another go to my amazon orders (or wherever) find the item. when i click on it its no longer available.

i know its happened with a pillow, bedding and drinking glasses. i think a few other things too.

i went ahead an ordered a midi keyboard at guitar center. wanted to pick it up after work yesterday but it wasnt ready for pick up until 10 am today. got it during lunch. lets see if i actually make use of it. i got 45 days to return it without penalty.

i hope there is an actual attempt to reduce or stop whatever these fools are planning next.

so I like to play poker.. mostly for play money these days as all the casinos are closed and I've yet to try real money online sites... anyway over the last few years without spending a dime to buy chips or collecting free spin chips etc i have turned 25,000 into 94,678,695... I guess what I'm saying is my patience is wearing thin and I really want the casinos to open again or I'm gonna have to try my hand at a real money online game... I guess I'm also kinda proud of those results and want to low key brag even if it is only fake money.

I've tried for the past month to stay up late (past 11pm) to work on some projects (because it's quiet at night), but I always fall asleep. Always waking up around 5:30am everyday too.

I think I'm over city life. I want something like this: https://www.landandfarm.com/property/12_Acres_in_Chester_County-12038147/

Not that exact property, but the layout. I could turn that barn into a workshop separate from the house and have a quiet space to work and not have to worry about being quiet myself. Turn those coops into greenhouses.

Happy that chapter is over. Just want to soak it in.

One last hangover from 45*, the commutation of Kwame is fucking with me. Seems like most black people are in support of him getting out, but all I see is the murder of a sex worker who's death was never solved, and the evidence that points to Kwame having ordered it. All I see is another black woman whose life is seemingly worthless, and the lack of value and concern for this young mother of three kids.

Obviously I don't know the truth, so I could totally have these strong feelings for nothing, but damn, so tired of feeling like people who look like me don't matter.

crowned them the AFC Champs and everything. I knew when they didn’t go for it on 4th and 1....they weren’t ready.

I imagine BILLS vs BUCS in the super bowl and finally beating Brandy.

still my team tho...

that game started off so fantastically too... I wasn't as mad about the bills choice there as I was about the packers.. in the land of errors not as critical and there was more of an argument to be had either way... but I get the "not ready" feeling when a safe call is made in those circumstances... good season though... good luck next year.

i dont see the logic to kicking that field goal. i found out that my dislike of green bay/rodgers is greater than my dislike of tom. still, not happy tom is in another sb.

i didnt get to see the second half of the bills game but it looked like KC had it under control by the end of the 1st qtr. bills should be back though if theyre not losing their key pieces.

definitely rooting for KC over tampa.

i found out elizabeth olsen (wanda from marvel) is the younger sister to the olsen twins this weekend lol. i dont know why i hadnt considered that before. cant unsee it now though.

im not sure what my plan is. im kind of pushing people away then getting down cause no ones there lol

music thing is some entertainment. i made some progress this weekend but i swear each time i get the computer booted up and ready to go my phone starts going off and i cant just ignore people lol

doesnt help that i push it off until like 8 pm each day

i did find my aux cables to play it through my AVR. couldnt get it working with hdmi but as long as i have the option for audio that should be enough.

ive been eating a bit better so hopefully i actually start feeling a difference and not just slouching the whole time im home. need to pick up the exercising.

Got some videos I'm ready to shoot, and now this. SMH.

My singing's getting better. Been practicing and recording songs more. Trying to get 2hrs/day in of guitar + bass, keys & vocals.

I've got a little 4-piece drum kit that needs some love. Hoping to get practicing on this by the summer. I used to love making drum tracks on my MPC more that anything, but now quantizing sounds sterile to me and my unquantized drums always sound weird.

Those electronic kits are really dope. You can get to keep the nuances and still have MIDI. Way quieter too. If I was buying a set I'd defnitely go electronic. The drums I have are my cousin's old set from the 1980s. Sparkly blue.

Still gotta learn how to play tho. I can hold a basic beat and that's it. Any type of accent or fill and it's trainwreck time, lol.

the drums themselves are good... the cymbals suck nads. even with midi I am not satisfied with the sounds I've come up with yet.

yeah same I can play a few steady beats can't fill for shit yet.

i dont know why my coworker annoys me so much but i cant stand them.

we were waiting on some parts and the shipper says it attempted to deliver yesterday and today but that we were closed. um we were open, were open 24/7. we got the parts in earlier after i called the shipper.

i sent a routine email to notify the department that the parts are here and an FYI about the attempted deliveries. coworker responds asking if i can find out what happened. how? let me form a committee to look into if the shipper is lying? not even going to respond lol

i hope the boss lets them work from home for the rest of the year again.

for a week or so I've been back on the workout train and have been working on a better daily eating routine.. I've been trying to cut down on my indulgence of my vices with slightly more than marginal results.

this feel good.. for some reason I have not pulled off the vice limitation to the degrees I am aiming but even so if I manage to continue as I am I ought to notice some real benefits in another week or so...

I'm wondering if I can keep this inspiration going..

btw I am up to 350 million in play poker money now... starting with 25k.. I need those kinda results in RL... been saving some for my poker bankroll when things open up again so you never know I might just.

got this impeachment on in the background today... here's hoping they manage to preclude el chumpo from holding office ever again... this seems so straight forward and necessary... and yet...

Happy Tuesday gang how is it going?

i have started ordering curbside from there for lunch so im at least cutting out eating so much bread. when i go to check out for my salad it asks me if i want a cookie or cheesecake. um yes i want but uh no i wont lol

i do like getting food from there for lunch though. it has been pretty smooth. i can pick the time i want to pick up, they have designated spots that are actually open. i pull up and almost instantly someone comes out. i think ive only had to call once and i placed my order basically right before i headed there that time. it also helps that theres a decent variety of food so i dont get too bored of eating the same thing.

parking is getting harder to find at work. not sure if more people are working in office now or what.

In response to Reply # 98

I have oatmeal for breakfast (never used to eat breakfast)

I have an apple, a carrot, some raw broccoli, a baby belle cheese and maybe a stick of pepperoni for lunch (never really used to eat lunch either)

then whatever I feel like for dinner (used to be my only meal and I used to eat plenty now I'm not so hungry for it and I tend to eat light)

so far it feels like it's doing me favors.. time will tell.

i do a yogurt and a lunchable...okay a P3 pack for breakfast.

lunch was typically burgers or chicken strips. going for salads at least twice a week now, a teryaki bowl from jack in the crack one day and whatever else i feel like it the rest of the week lol

i also used to go quite heavy for dinner before. its relatively lighter now but probably the biggest point where i fail currently. need to get motivated to cook regularly.

shit makes no sense. They have bathroom duty to ensure kids distance in the bathrooms

and at most she will have 1 or 2 kids in person and the rest virtual.

which means our kids need care and we aren’t comfortable with them going back to daycare yet.

so I told my boss and he was quick to tell me to work from home and do as much as i can while watching the kids until school is out for summer.

that rebound is sure to be good.

bought a laptop on sunday. seems decent. i didnt realize it didnt have a webcam, kind of happy it doesnt lol

i went to pick it up and there was all sorts of cars parked heading to the main street. theres never traffic like that there. a bunch of cars parked on the side of the street and people walking around. the main street itself was mostly clear.

the cars are kinda fixed up, but nothing special. i get to the intersection and noticed there are some cars across the street on the side of the road. that side is empty so its kind of odd. as i turn onto the street i noticed a firetruck in the distance.

when i came back there was an ambulance.

found out later it was a car meet up or whatever. the cars across the street had crashed. apparently a camaro decided to do donuts on the main street and got t-boned by a challenger that wasnt part of the meet up, just someone trying to pass by. there was video of it. no one got hurt supposedly and camaro driver got arrested.

the organizers called it a success.

I was exercising 3 days on and one day off for most of Feb.. I took 3 days off over the weekend, worked out yesterday and have opted out today.. gonna do one day on one day off now I think....

have added a bunch of grated raw beets to my daily lunch of raw broccoli, carrot, apple, baby belle and a pepperoni.. still eating oatmeal every morning...

can't seem to, won't seem to, don't seem to be letting go of my evening cocktail and puff tho.. the doom approaches.. soon I shall shuffle off this mortal coil and be done with it all.

118. "Coming to America has a 47/100 on Metacritic? The fuck?"
In response to Reply # 116

And only 67% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The "reception" section on wikipedia in insane.

Coming To America received positive reviews upon release. Review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a score of 67%, based on reviews from 46 critics with an average rating of 6/10. The website's critical consensus reads, "Eddie Murphy was in full control at this point, starkly evident in Coming to America's John Landis' coasting direction." On Metacritic, the film holds a weighted average score of 47 out of 100, based on 16 reviews, indicating "mixed or average reviews". Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "A" on an A+ to F scale.

Sheila Benson in the Los Angeles Times called it a "hollow and wearying Eddie Murphy fairy tale" and bemoans, "That an Eddie Murphy movie would come to this." Vincent Canby in The New York Times was also critical of the writing, calling it a "possibly funny idea" but suggesting the screenplay had escaped before it was ready. Canby viewed the film as essentially a romantic comedy but said the romantic elements fell flat, and the film instead goes for broad slapstick. Siskel & Ebert had mixed opinions on the film. Siskel enjoyed the acting from Murphy and Hall but Ebert was disappointed that Murphy did not bring his usual more lively performance, and Ebert was also critical of the unoriginal script.

my coworker just has to find a way to annoy me. sent me emails asking to do a couple of things. fine, ill do them. i didnt respond so she called asking if i had seen the emails. told her i was on it. i think she tried to say since i didnt respond she wanted to be sure. her phone was braking up though so i just said you breaking up lol

then today emails me asking me to update some details on a log that are irrelevant. you dont need to pretend to be working from home.

i ordered a bottled coke from grubhub last night (along with my meal lol) and they didnt deliver it. dont know if the restaurant messed up, the driver didnt grab it or if he kept it. i got a refund on it, i wanted the coke though. i guess i didnt NEED it but i sure wanted it lol

mine feels a bit off when im driving. kind of too new to have any major issues but i might be a good idea to get it checked out.

sound system is also being funky. one rear speaker gave out months ago, i split the signal from the front so both speakers on that side would have sound. now i will sometimes hear a loud pop when i turn it on and only the sub makes sound. if i turn off and on again all the sound returns. i worry there might be something serious going on there.

finally took care of taxes last night. went as i expected, dont owe anything. im free to use my bonus as intended. i paid off one card this morning and had second thoughts about paying off the other lol. i think i still will but buying that laptop put a dent in my plans. i could return it but i think i should be okay to keep it.

its felt like friday all day for me today. dont know why. maybe its a sign and i should ask for tomorrow off lol

was going to tow the car to the mechanic on the weekend since it had died last week... But I had a feeling.. gave the sucker a little bit of attention on Friday and a little more on Sunday and all is well.. starts, runs, is clean and much happier now... I think I've got a condensation issue tbh.. could be a problem again. we'll see.. I haven't been driving it much so really I just think it need to know I give half a shit... you know how moody these damn vehicles can be...

well that's good news...

I threw out all discipline for the weekend and had myself a right good time (sort of, I mean wasn't doing anything interesting really just not trying to check myself)... now the week is on again and well back to holding myself in check.

always stressing bout eggs when I shop.. gotta check the carton first that none are already broken... then I'm also always conscious of having them out of refrigeration long enough for them to sweat... that tends to escalate spoiling I believe.. and yeah whenever they are bagged I need to keep track of what is in with them nothing too heavy or hard.. bag has to rest with the carton level etc... there ought to be a better/easier way.

i mean someone designed the carton with the expectation it would take some damage right??? lol

they gave me the eggs instead of putting them in the trunk. the eggs were in the bag by themselves. i was holding only the bag with the eggs yet i dropped them lol. im not sure what happened, i thought i was holding the bag right and was getting ready to place another bag in the hand but before i even grabbed the second bag with my other hand the bag with the eggs just came down lol. i must have been holding it outside the handles, like i thought my hand was going into the handles but it was really between them?

when i was driving back home i thought about buying some breakfast at a fast food place but was like nah dont be lazy you just bought eggs. ended up eating cereal lol

well. we think it was Amazon...

my mother has been fussing about it all day. I finally told her to walk it down to the address, she goes, “I’m not taking sh*t, it could be a bomb... drugs”

now I’m scared to take it...

we had to do the same the other day... these delivery folks be messing up all over. whoever it is will be happy to get their package.. last time it happened here somebody had ripped the package open and taken whatever was there we had to deliver an empty package.. but we figured at least the person expecting it will be able to know and not just be wondering where their package is.

I mean drugs or bomb is unlikely AF really..... You'd want somebody to bring your delivery if it happened to you.

if something goes awry you can blame me.

neighbors would bring over mail more frequently than they should. i had to do it once.

once i ordered something from target for my sister but i put her address wrong so her neighbor got it lol it was two packages delivered on different days. they gave her the first one but didnt answer for the second. target refunded the money. this was right around when the pandemic started though so dont fully blame them.

140. "i suddenly want to replace my headphones"
In response to Reply # 139

i think im going to chill but i got really close to deciding to get some.

thing is the ones i have are working fine. i like the sound and there is no reasonable reason to replace them. when i bought them i got the protection plan at best buy with the expectation of upgrading to newer version down the line. i should get full credit for the price i paid for them. there are newer models with some features that i would like but their kind of pricy.

i got an email that they dropped their price and i checked best buy and it would cost me $85 to get their newest version. not too bad. i would expect the sound to be the same but would get better battery life and they would fold more compact. the replacement plan ends on dec 30 so i have time but slightly less than i thought i did. i think realizing that is what really made me start thinking why not now?

the headphones i have will stop working on the one side if i plug them in and go back to bluetooth. not something i do a lot but its weird. i have to plug and unplug the cord a few times until it starts working again. looks like this issue is still happening with their newest ones. the fit is also a bit uncomfortable. so after seeing the new ones are having the same problems i thought maybe i should look into different options. if it werent for that i may have decided to replace them this week.

now im considering getting the Bowers & Winkins PX7 or looking into some other ones. those are expensive so i would wait for a sale and im reading some mixed reviews on them. looks like ill need to do more research and ideally try a few out. dont really want to go to best buy to try out demo headphones if they even let you right now lol

i might call best buy and see what the return policy is on headphones and order 2 or 3 of them to try out at home if there is no return fee. might end up returning them all if theyre not on sale and just wait until a sale to get the ones i like the most.

i chilled on it but i will replace the headphones, it just makes sense. the question will be if i do an upgrade or just something similar. i paid for the replacement plan with the intention to replace them lol

i looked at more reviews for the headphones i wanted and it seems they are great at music but too many issues with them. im just going to look out for sales and do more research to see which others i should consider.

the good thing is i am taking care of all my bills and only spend a small portion of money i get on things i want. theres not much i want left. i want to replace my smart watch but i really dont want to spend $300/$400 to do so. i want to buy the super mario world for switch but have a few games to play through still so im chilling.

i am questioning buying that laptop and the midi keyboard since i dont use them much but i think im good with them. the midi keyboard wasnt much and i do plan to get back to it. the laptop was well over due and i think it will hold me down for years to come. i transferred all the software and files for the midi keyboard yesterday. hopefully ill mess around with it some this week and see how much of an improvement it was over the old laptop. its already so much nicer to be able to boot up and launched in a minute compared to like 10 minutes or more before lol

Going to get another one this evening (craigslist). Getting my first real board together.

Still haven't bought new turtable needles yet. Kinda irks me that no record shops around me sell record player components. I miss the sound of vinyl.

Speaking of sound, I *really* want a tube amp for my guitar. Figuring out what parts to order to build a little 5W Fender clone to start.

I've got G.A.S. right now.

I actually bought two books a couple years ago one about building tube amps and one about building speakers.. I hope to get to trying my hand at that myself sometime... but it's possibly more than I actually will.

I find it very satisfying to make things I can use but sometimes it's just easier to spend the money.

last week was better for overall discipline.. I've been drinking n smoking all week so far.. still eating well added a red pepper to the lunch cornucopia... 1/3 red pepper, grated beets, 1 carrot, broccoli, and apple and the pepperoni and baby belle.. I'm not bored of this yet amazingly...

other news finally broke the half a billion mark in poker...

so overall I ought to be a bit more hype than I feel but I guess I'm not feeling too bad about ish.. need more discipline still.

so boss had said we would be alternating working from home. i asked him friday if i would work from home or in office this week. he wasnt sure but said to work in the office but he might text me later. so i asked him if i should go ahead and take my laptop then, he said no. that ill work in the office. okay cool.

customer lady sent an email at night to my boss saying i never called them. i had called and there was no answer so i left a voicemail and emailed my boss saying as much. boss replies with this as well as suggesting they email me what they need. i worry i might need to go get the laptop. customer lady replies back on saturday morning asking if i am going to call. then the guy i had to call emails us saying what he needs. cool i email back what he asked for and told him to let me know if he needed anything else. customer lady replies back to my email asking her dude if he had heard from me yet.....bruh. so i went ahead and called dude and he was like yeah i saw your email i think were good. so i emailed back letting her know i talked to dude and were good. i dont know what was up with her. didnt need the laptop so cooool.

i get to work this morning and my coworker is here. uh what happened to alternating?? todays high is 80 and she had the heater on full blast. blah.

been a busy day running onsite to hospital and to office... back home now to finish the day....

I've been obsessed with Rhinoceroses over the last year or so... highlight of my last few days has been following a recent rescue of a 1 year old Rhino orphaned when she witnessed her mother being murdered for her horn.. This little rhino is stressed out and calling for it's mom all night long and freaks out in the dark so the rescuers have started keeping the lights on all night.. It has ulcers on it's eyes which have been treated and are improving so with any luck it won't go blind.. it also apparently consumed a bunch of sand before it was rescued so has been having bad gut problems since rescued but the news is that it has finally finished passing all of that and it's stomach is settling into normal eating some grass and drinking milk...

anyways I've shared that now... it is pretty much the story that has dominated my interest over the last week or so and I'm glad things are improving... they don't always make it in these situations.

they are so frickin cute fam.. i got links if you doubt.

anyway.. got a workday to finish. what you got?

im working on a PDF form for work. i ran into a possible dead end yesterday. i didnt seem to have an option to do what i was trying to in acrobat. i googled it today and saw that indesign has form/interactivity options that work when exporting to a pdf. after messing with it for a bit i figured out how to what i was trying to. too bad i wasted a day or two prepping to do it in acrobat lol

tbh.. it feels better when I have absolutely no fucks to give and it's all just water off my back.

btw in other news I'm up to 699 mil in poker now.

i can get with it.

loafers are on my mind today. trying to find something casual but that can dress up a bit. i have some sneaker slip ons that my brother joked look like karate shoes. i cant unsee it now lol

i mostly wear jeans, like unless there is something formal im wearing jeans. so not all might work.

i also tend to look at pictures of shoes or see them on a shelf and really like them. put them on and instantly hate how they look lol

i think im going to order 3/4 and see how i like them and if they run true to size. ill keep 1 or 2 and send the rest back to bezos.

gotta figure out the sock situation...not a no sock type of dude but i dont think white socks are gonna fly with these lol

they felt fine in the store and for the first day... but after that they chewed TF out of my heel/ankle. I thought they would break in but they didn't.. I literally had to stop wearing any footwear for about a week because of the gouge these bastards took out of the back of my heel... now they're just sitting by my door.. I ought to toss them out as I'll never wear them.

dont think thats happened to me. ive definitely bought shoes that i end up not wearing often if ever again after the first month. for the most part i will keep one or two pairs in rotation and wear them out way past replacement time.

im kind of bad at throwing out shoes though. if they dont have blatant damage i hold on to them. might need to go through some and see if any are worth donating and chuck the rest.

i pulled the trigger on some headphones. kind of played myself.

the plan was to replace my headphones before the warranty was over and when a pair i wanted were on sale. i looked at best buy yesterday and they didnt really have sales. i looked into the momentum 3 and decided i wanted to try them. i saw amazon had them on sale, so i decided i would price match. started a chat with best buy about the replacement, they tried to schedule a visit to see if they could repair them. i was hoping they would let me keep the headphones until the new ones came in since they didnt have them in stock. ended up just going in store.

on my way i decided i would just buy a pair they had in store and have them order the momentums. test both and return one. i tried a few on, jbl and bose. they felt and sounded pretty good but you cant tell in store. then i found the sony xm4. these seem to get the best reviews so decided i would try them. they were full price, whatever. i went to pay for them and made sure they wont charge me to return them. tried to order the momentum 3 but she pointed out the seller wasnt actually amazon so could price match. then she asks me if i want the 2 year accidental plan....for $90. um whoa. the old headphones had a 4 year plan for $40. i understand these new ones cost more than double but why 2 years only? went ahead and got it.

felt like a fool as soon as i walked out. figured ill wait and see if any go on sale next week and test these in the meanwhile. they sound good, fit well, light. 30 hours battery life...supposedly 38 if you dont use noise cancelling. hmmm. they do get a bit warm but should be any more than my old ones. i might just keep them. the only thing i wish they had was usb c audio. dont think i would use it often, probably only try it once and use it when they were dead. seems all headphones have some trade offs. the sony might have the least.

this morning i was checking on an amazon order and saw the momentum dropped like 2 bucks. clicked on it to see if maybe amazon was the seller for them. then i saw the sony were on sale for $72 less than i paid. saw it was being sold and shipped by amazon. price match! turns out best buy has them on sale at the same price too. so got them to price match the headphones and the price on the plan dropped to $70. still a bit much but it is better. i think once i used my cash back rewards my out of pocket cost will be less than $100 so mission accomplished?

the momentum are on sale on best buy for $50 less today but i dont know if i want to try them anymore. might do so just so im not left wondering.

the sound isnt quite hitting right for me. at least not on the default setting without the noise cancelling on. i switched to bass boost setting and it didnt make much difference. turned on noise cancelling and wooo there it is. i think i dont want to be using noise cancelling most of the time but i will see. definitely need to try using them with a custom EQ to see if i can get them to sound how i want.

i went ahead and ordered the momentum 3 lol supposed to be delivered tomorrow. supposedly i get 30 days to return them, standard is 15 days. it didnt give me the option to add the protection plan though.

when i was looking into these headphones the understanding i got was that the momentum sound good, real good. theyre a step below in noise cancelling though and not great on battery life. sony cant be beat in noise cancelling and sound pretty good, good enough.

so since i care more about sound quality than noise cancelling i figured momentum would be the right ones for me. i will find out now.

boss and one coworker is out today and tomorrow, other coworker is out tomorrow.

i kind of messed up. had my yearly eval. there was one area of improvement, i seem agitated when i am asked to do stuff that doesnt pertain to my job. we spent like 2 hours discussing it lol i think in the end its all good but i really shouldnt had spent more than 10/15 minutes discussing it and moved on to other stuff. i felt i had to clear the air and put my foot down some though. didnt even talk about a pay increase. i figure it will be the standard but uh it would be nice to know.

i guess i will ask the boss monday but how do you bring that up now? lol

it's actually one thing that drinking liquor helps me with.. when I drink a beer or a mixed drink I'm not hitting the pop... when I don't drink alcohol I am all up in a bottle of pepsi.... I have been doing water during the day tho. . which is good because really for years I hardly ever touched the stuff (water that is)... I ought to be dead really.

that itch to bounce is back.

wether its a dump of work i dont think i should be doing, the coworker being annoying in the office again, surprised responsibilities...i feel done with this place.

coworker told me her bones hurt when its too cold. she takes pills for it. told me i can use a fan instead of the AC. uh...what? ive been keeping the AC off and waiting until its just too hot to turn it on. i dont turn it on very cold. she doesnt bother turning it up if its too cold. she goes to turn it off or to turn on the heat.

i didnt even say ok or no. just looked back at my screen and kept working.

In response to Reply # 0

I did not accept. She explain that she had a carton of it because she was restocking her aunt's supplies and the refrigerator was full. She didn't want to have to throw it away so she asked. I thanked her and let her know that I don't need any milk in my home right now.

Very odd, but nice of her to ask... I guess. I cannot understand who would randomly accept milk from a stranger while out for a walk, but ... it was nice of her to ask. I hope she can find someone she knows who she can give it to.

This makes me think about how communities don't work right. I bet there is someone in this neighborhood struggling to buy what they need who could actually use a gallon or two of milk. If communities worked differently, very little would go to waste.

I bought my very first grill, all my own last month. I signed up for butcher box this weekend. Also this past weekend my mom gave me a really nice knife set with meat forks included, that she'd had in her basement and never used. And I bought myself a personalized apron.

I plan to enjoy my backyard this summer!!

I bought some Repel-All to keep a stray cat out my lawn. The stuff stink!! I not only had to change my clothes but I put them straight in the washing machine. I probably need to Fabreeze my shoes before I go to bed.

Never played metal before... I'm an R&B dude. It's pretty fun and interesting tho. I get to go wild with my tone sometimes too which is very fun.

My knee hurts for no apparent reason. Probably from years of abuse playing bball.

Working on the backyard now that it's warming. Gonna get another outdoor tent or build a trellis so I can put the mosquito netting up again. Storms tore-up my old one (and the vinyl on the greenhouse). Gonna be nice to be able to be outside after July this year.

About to hit the store real quick before the verdict comes down.

so boss has been working from home for like 3 weeks. his wife had covid. he came back monday....he has covid now. coworker was told he needs to test since he was with him, he said nope.

other coworker spends all day making arrangements for a surgery, then telling like 4 other people every detail about it.

thanks to this i now know she has piercings that are not on her face.

everything is fine.

brain dumps follows,

my bestie and I got vaccinated together. I couldn’t have done it without her, it’s weird because this experience made me realize why she’s been my beastie for 40 years.

my son is turning 34. I’m old and my son old lol. not sure if you remember that my dad died last year on my son’s birthday. the party will be bitter-sweet this year. Perhaps, we’ll let gallons in the air…

my greatest fear would be to lose my mother. Im making the best of our time together now.

with folks getting vaccines now might actually get to see my folks this year.

keep your head up my friend! soak that time with your mom up.. we all gonna be done at some point... hope we meet before either of us gets there but if not let me say it now.. I love you Trin.

back from vacation. so far i dont hate it but a lot of catching up to do.

i had a feeling my coworker was going mess up my desk situation while i was gone. she ordered a new desk for the office printer, way bigger than the last one. i thought it was going to be blocking the entrance to my desk or they would rotate my desk or some BS. i moved some of my stuff over and the old desk away from mine before i left on vaction to try to avoid that. all is well it seems.

still alive over here... how about you guys? who's above ground? howz it? I'm ok.. not much to report.. got one teenager kinda floundering a bit at the moment with a lack of direction.. other 3 kids seem to be on track. this one's got a bad case of scared to act, lazy AF & thinks he knows better though.

you know can't tell him nothing but he's heading into more trouble than he needs to be.

that's about it.. dogs are getting positively ancient.. week to week if not day to day for one of them.

been drinking... been smoking.. been playing poker... the usual.

Good (loud!) music, good people and dancing. Been missing this.

Got a controller (S4) for my DJ rig, worked great for a weekend but now my macbook is acting its' age (HD problems). Might be time for a new one.

My yard is overgrown around the edges. Just been so busy, plus mosquitoes.

Hope everyone's doing well.
