"WW84"

You see it? What'd you think?

I enjoyed it enough, for a one-time watch. Nothing more. Gal Gadot is very dope, on screen. Kristen Wig was good. The plot was a little over-cooked and I honestly can't think of one action scene that was memorable. Overall...it happened. Didn't love it or hate it.

I wanted to love it but it just was. Why did the last fight remind me so much of the first movie? It's been a while since I watched that one but it felt like the same thing.

i didn't LOVE WW1, but i liked it and i've seen it multiple times.
there's just so so much to not like about WW84 though.

if they ever make a 3rd one i'd seriously consider opening it w/ some sort of 4th wall gag about WW84 being some sort of weird fever dream. just strike this shit off the record and try again next time.

The way the middle eastern characters were portrayed was nauseating. A decidedly white DMV area.

Wayyy too long. Badly done cgi. Storyline was dumb.

A major disappointment after the very enjoyable first one.

And somehow flying propeller from World War I means you can fly state of the art fighter jets.

I cant with this movie and its rolling on the road at 200 mph with little children and no scratches

so my son and I could watch The Boondocks, from the beginning. I then planned to do the entire Ballers and re-watch The Wire. When I think about it like that, it's worth the $15/month. This movie was just going to be icing, but...

If the masses love it, he doesn’t.. they hate hate it, he’ll find value in it.

I was confused at all the positive reviews the first one got. I can admit that I'm a big fan of her origin story tho. Loved the 2009 animated version, and thought the movie just botched it to hell.

1984 had a consistent message "nothing good is born from lies" and a couple of other references that reappeared throughout the film. That's simple, but it shows that a little something went into the development of the story and the writing. I'm just so confused as to how mofos can see Aries basically reduced to being Magneto and not say there's "so much wrong" with the first damn movie lol. But anyway, I dunno if Maxwell adopted his son, but him having a fully Asian son was odd. The overall movie had the feel of a Supergirl episode about 30% of the way through. It picked up though. The story was better developed than the first one and didn't revolve so strongly around Steve like the first one did. Ugh, the plot to the first one was just so shitty. I liked that the invisible jet shows up. We see Cheetah as well, but all in rather unexpected ways. The Lynda Carter appearance was awesome for me as well. Hope we see more of her if they do a 3rd one.

Like
"ok, this is going to cost us 20 mil to implement these effects"
"Well, theaters aren't really open, so lets see what we can do with 1 mil"
Cuz in reality the effects might have been the worst thing for a super hero movie released in 2020.
