I have a 12 year old and a 6 year old. I’d only seen trailers, but I had a feeling it might spark some questions from my youngest. I remember Inside Out being similar with my oldest when it came out around 2015. So I was thinking about how to address the questions.
Then at lunch time yesterday my youngest started asking me where personalities come from, why people have to die, and what my purpose was...I was just like “???” and then my oldest was like “he’s asking because we watched Soul this morning. Those little jokers watched it on Disney Plus early in the morning while I was sleeping in the day after Christmas. Spoiled move night AND I wasn’t able to answer those questions real time lol...

Moana gets a bit tooooo musical-y for my taste, but I love the movie and always skip the singing lmao. I like the first jam when she encounters Maui tho

It has a lot of merit, I would've loved to see it spend some more time in NYC with the characters and music. But I don't mind, I thought it was good. But I'm not sure I'm in a rush to watch it again, whereas Incredibles 2 and esp Ratatouille are movies I'll watch a couple of times a year easily

-wifey had this deep spiritual connection to the flick’s message about finding one’s purpose.... she even she’d a tear or two - 5 year-old was just entertained by the whole thing... tried to explain to her a few life concepts but all in all , she liked the animation and the happy ending... - I really liked the storyline.... the story was very thoughtful, sparked some nice convo with the wife.... shit was deep enough that it’s definitely something I gotta watch again cuz I know there’s more jewels for me to get
2 thumbs up

i mean, the 3 year old can get down with marathon watching daniel tiger, super wings or whatever is popular, but they are far from being able to sit and get down with a full on movie. the baby gives no fucks about tv or movies...he's only 1.5
