I just got offered a role at a small, women-led consulting firm!! I'm their newest consultant...clients are mainly nonprofits and government in the New England area and its 100% remote for now...it will also be the highest salary i've ever had...which is great cuz now that I'm going back into the private sector, i wont qualify for the Student Loan Forgiveness!
only drawback is my coworkers are 6 Karens LOL..but i grilled them about race and whiteness during the 3 interviews and they still hired me so I guess they are ready to deal..i gave them book recs too LOL ..this should be interesting..i start Jan 4
Something else that popped off at the same time, tho..I've been endorsed by the Progressive Talent Pipeline...which means i am now plugged into the job listing circuit for jobs in the Executive Branch and Congress (congressional aides, Deputy Chiefs of Staff, etc), backed by an endorsement that would flag any applications i submit for priority attention. They even offer training on appropriations process, constituency relations, advocacy etc
all of this when i've been biding my time to leave this wretched assed country LOL
anyway, yay me!

so i've been trying to live in the present and take what comes
But once I've saved up some money, then yes. And working as a consultant is free training for me to learn to build my own consulting business, which would not require me to live in the US.
so all irons are still in the fire!
