This is a fun post. It was inspired by a debate over whether it's weird to put mayo on a hot dog along with ketchup & mustard. I say it's fine.

I knew a chick that always ate french fries with pizza. If she was going to eat pizza, she absolutely had to have fries with it. I've got nothing against fries but to make them a required side with pizza was weird to me.

My girl will only eat green grapes, never red ones. But she only drinks red white, never white. I tell her all the time she's weird as hell.

9 times out 10, I eat my meals one thing at a time. I eat my main dish and then knock out the sides. The only things I eat together are meat (chicken, steak, pork or turkey) with either mashed potatoes & rice. I can accept that this is weird to lots of folks.

like. whatever I deem best on the plate, I’ll eat it last.

not sure how I got into the habit...

So if I'm eating rice and chicken and greens... I want the last bite to have a bit of all of that.

one time his friend was making fun of him about it and a realized he got it from me.

i usually eat all portions at an equal pace but whatever my favorite thing is will be my last bite.

She had a baked potato not long ago. And she saved the chunkiest, cheesiest, baconiest part til the end. I get it. I don't think that's weird at all.

Like not always lmao but I definitely used to pour some ranch on the plate and lay the lasagna right on top. What a mix!

Also, if I have grits, eggs, bacon, etc I'm mixing it ALL together. I have a coworker who hates when her food touches and I'm like hanh?!

This is exactly how my grandma used to eat hers. It was always one big blob of breakfast. I don't mind my food touching but I definitely eat 1 thing at a time.

I had never really tripped. I had a neighbor who made the mac n cheese...then made gravy...then stuck the mac n cheese with the gravy. He wouldn't let us have it separate it was a dish.

This is definitely unique. It's like mac & cheese poutine.

I don't do scrambled, sunny side up, or any of the fast-food eggs. But I'll eat hardboiled eggs, over easy with corn beef hash or scrambled chorizo and eggs. Other than that keep em off my breakfast plate.

This is interesting. You like to mix the eggs with some other stuff but you're not too big on eggs alone.

Having said that I def got a few bottles that I consumed in full before reading that on the label.

in the fridge when he asked for it. I mean he didn't even want dinner anymore. He was just MAD. "You don't put no DAMN HOT SAUCE in refrigerator!!"

I had never experienced that before and that relationship didn't last long. Everyone I knew growing up kept it there.

Anyway, I am not the kinda person who uses hot sauce on everything so my bottle last a long time... which is why I keep them in the refrigerator.

burnt just enough that it doesn't stick together, so if it's just me i'll throw an extra 20 seconds on it.

goes back to when i was a kid at either camp or school and they made popcorn, and there was a burnt batch no one wanted. everyone got a little bag but i got a whole bunch. felt like a come up.

You know, you're right. There's a point where slightly burned popcorn still smells good as hell. A dude at work always has popcorn in the afternoon and it seems like his is always just a little burned.

But once you go past that, I gotta shut it down.

not in some gross competitive eating way, but I finish my plate when most people are just half done. I have Kobayashi's physique, so it's not about maintaining anything.

not sure why, as it's not because I don't value food -- I love all cuisines, from takeout to $200 fine dining tasting menus.

Yogurt, jello, flan, souffles, pudding, avocados, peas, beans, all are a no-go for me.

I like any carb based food excessively sauced, and any meat based food minimally sauced. Like pastas have to be extra saucy, sandwiches have to have an abundance of condiments, hoagies are like dripping with oil and vinegar. Conversely, barbecued chicken should have the sauce on the side, veal parmesan is going to have the excess sauce scrapped off of it, and i'll pass on the roast beef with the au jus.

I hate rosemary with all my heart, and I truly don't understand how people can eat that rotting pine tree tasting garbage.
