Are white gospel choirs a thing?

Do you even call them gospel choirs if it’s all white people?

Lmao

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

They have a huge choir with every color imaginable..

They sound Black tho.. not Southern Baptist Black but decent enough.

I was surprised when I saw the actual choir after hearing a CD of their music.

Like if you turn to a station and it says "christian" music, that's mostly white people.

And people start splicing it into Qanon and the like videos.

This age old internet practice needs to make a come back.

7. "To Me A Big Gospel Hit Song Is "Optimistic" Or "Stomp""
In response to Reply # 0

Those two songs have been the biggest gospel songs that have that staying power of still getting spins on the radio or in a Dj mix, there is a ton of other songs that are popular within the gospel genre but as far as songs that people don't really think of as just a gospel song and more like that urban jam they love to hear regardless of it being a spiritual song; Optimistic" by Sounds Of Blackness and "Stomp" by God's Property featuring Kirk Franklin are those type of songs.

I've seen djs play "Stomp" and then play a ratchet rap song right after and people not turn and eye one bit; while "Optimistic" is dope song (I get emotional everytime I hear it) that gets play a lot on adult contemporary radio stations and djs will play it during maybe a 90's r&b aka new-jack-swing mix.

It's high time to stop pushing such myths.

But most people aren't ready to evaluate those beliefs with a critical, unbiased eye, let alone give them up.
