A man has been arrested on assault charges after getting into a fight over a parking space in Flushing yesterday.
Joe Zou, 24, allegedly got into an argument over a parking spot on Kissena Boulevard near Barclay Avenue at around 4 p.m. Monday, police said.
Zou, who was driving a white Audi, got out of his vehicle and punched a 35-year-man in the face. The victim was vying for the same spot.
A man came to the defense of the victim only to be struck by Jonathan Zhang, 34, who was also with Zou.
The pair then got into the Audi and tried to ram their vehicle into the two victims. The car jumped the curb and smashed into a bakery at 41-39 Kissena Blvd. The duo were then apprehended by officers from the 109th Precinct.
The Daily News reported that three women standing near the crash site were hit by flying debris and suffered minor injuries. The two men who were allegedly assaulted also reported minor injuries. They were all taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital – Queens
Police arrested Zou at the scene for reckless endangerment and assault. Zhang was also charged with assault.

I mean.. I know shit gets heated when it comes to parking but this is doing too much.
Was the driver white or a blonde Asian?
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

LA road rage is not something I want ANY parts of. I let those people pass me be without even so much as turning my head. The stew of bad/aggressive/psychotic drivers is too thick - between gang members, drug heads, random Falling Down psychopaths, etc. I'm more than good to let people who have offended me drive by and go on their merry way.
I went to Thousand Oaks to buy a car a few years ago and on the way home I literally saw a body laid out on the 101 after getting into a shootout w/police on the goddam freeway. Took a lot of the shine off of driving my new car home.

anyone (or anything for that matter) obstructing a driver's path, is felt as a violation of their personal space.
this is why I think psychiatry evaluations should be included with driving privileges to determine if a person is fit to drive a vehicle before being issued a license or a renewal.
