Turned 49 a few weeks ago... I’ve been around here since my late 20s. DAYUM!
My babygirl is a senior in college already. One semester to go. I’m getting more anxious and nervous about it than I thought I’d be. Not because she doesn’t handle business but because it’s the next step in her growth and burgeoning independence.
Days used to be much simpler.
I began exercising more which improved my outlook, disposition, and perspective.
Truth be told... I’ve struggled a bit mentally this year. Shit was never perfect but I just wanna go back to the days before Trump and Covid.

I’m taking Monday off after Thanksgiving.
I need to start exercising again. I fell off after going here for a month. Now it’s time to get back on it.
We are getting a new roof this weekend. I was a little scared when I gave dude a check for materials but they arrived this morning. I love giving Black folk some business and seeing them run a tight ship.
I still haven’t started this side hustle. Once I get off work and spend time with the kids I’m not really in the mood to do more work. That’s needs to change.

as far as i understand his passing is unrelated to covid. im not sure if im going. i want to go pay my respects but apparently this is a 2 hr indoor service. at least it does say masks required.
not sure if showing up before and staying for a few minutes would be acceptable.

The way Texas is set up I'd just have to be the "disrespectful" family member....although I did have two friends come visit a couple weeks ago (one from Houston, one from Dallas) - but they both wore masks in my house

i think my aunt is understanding. my mom had told me that she was discouraging people from trying to visit her when he passed because she didnt want to risk it.
i had been planning to go but when i realized it wasnt a come and go situation but an actual church service for 2 hrs i started questioning it. i might just ask for the afternoon off and decide last minute.

i was watching a video a couple of weeks back. some white dude whos series i never heard of got cancelled or something. anyway, he had done a video about covid and he mentioned that while he did research on it he was surprised about viral load. that how much covid affects you is based on how much of it youre exposed to. that its a big reason why wearing masks for people that have it and people that dont is important.
even if the mask doesnt 100% prevent you from getting it your risk of having really bad symptoms is greatly reduced. not sure how true or important it is to spread that message so ive been reluctant to post about it.

I’ve had harsh words for a few family members and friends. they’re of the belief, “it’s made up” or tired of being in the house”. idgaf, I only go out for necessities. they seem to forget I live with two high risk people...

Ionno, they put so much out there it’s hard to follow at times. Gonna power through but my interest in finishing has greatly diminished.

In fact, informed delivery told me one of the 2 pieces I am waiting one was suppose to arrive last Saturday. The other one just said coming soon. I clicked that little checkbox that says 'I didn't receive this mail piece' and I got an email response that said "informed Delivery provides notifications for mailpieces arriving soon—not necessarily arriving that day. There may be occasions when a mailpiece was scanned by automated equipment, but the mailpiece itself was not relayed to your mail carrier before he or she left for their delivery route that day."
Yet, I have received nothing for 7 days straight.

i think our mail carrier comes by every day. ive definitely had some cases where i was expecting mail to come in a certain day and it didnt come. usually comes in within a couple days though.
