First, we don't know what effort are being taken to keep it safe. Certainly there are millions of people working in close quarters still but it immediately critisizies Nancy Pelosi for it.

If the sports teams are important enough to take risks like this then so is congress. But not in the way The Republicans have been doing it - look at their example: Party, get it, then tell people to be happy that they lived. (And simply never mention those how die ever again.)

We'd ALL be able to have get together if a national effort was put into place to control the outbreak and provide rapid testing for a large number of people to happen repeatedly.

This is generally where I stand. And the cesspool of websites, podcasts, channels and now apps devoted to the reds is impressively terrible. But beyond confilcit of interest, I think its criminal to trade on insider knowledge that a congress person may have.

Articles like this don't make that distinction and then you have the stories about Dems sound exactly like the stories about republicans.

The 49 members of Congress and 182 senior congressional staffers who violated the act did not violate the Act by insider trading, but rather violated the Act (or more accurately were not in compliance with the Act) by filing late paperwork.

To answer your question though, probably most individual stock purchases by lawmakers do not constitute insider trading.

A lot of rich people get early access to IPOs and zillions of other favorable investments. That could well have more to do with the average net worth of lawmakers, especially senators, than insider access.

The FEC looks at individual trades when collecting evidence of insider trading - it only takes one trade to convict. I still don't see what the stocks you mentioned have to do with anything. Most of them IPOed before Pelosi was elected.
