im seeing this pop up a bit on social media.
we had 6 whole ass months...I know money is/was tight, people were losing job, shit is uncertain. I'm like, why did anyone stop stocking up? Stupid single dudes I get, they do dumb shit and don't think ahead...everyone else? What the fuck man?
you should have been picking up a small pack of TP and sanitizer each time ya went to the bodega to pick up a 3 pack of condoms on the way to jumping in some crowd sourced covid strange.
I never stopped shopping.
did you think shit was going to be magically resolved by now?
you don't watch the history channel or read wikipedia? we knew this shit was going to keep pushing.

I still can't find a can of disinfectant anywhere, not even generic store brands, just once in a while I might see a pack of wipes, but I see tons of pine-sol and bleach but no Lysol anywhere in sight.

She went to use the downstairs bathroom one day and got curious..... All of a sudden we're hearing screams and she comes running out the bathroom.....i'm thinking the worst... I run in and the water is spraying full blast all over the bathroom and she's soaking wet lol.... She don't mess with things I tell her not to mess with anymore though!

12. "im trying to keep a month minimum of essentials" In response to Reply # 0
getting low on my pack of tp? its cool i have a spare pack on hand and picking up another one on the weekend. basically doing this for most non-perishable things. habit i picked up at my old job. always want to make sure you have a spare of consumables, enough to last you a month. order when you reach a certain level.
requires a bit extra money upfront but then you have more control moving forward.

"Folks acting like Covid is an anal virus "
It’s really not that serious.
People out here going ham on the TP.

I’m talking about people buying so much shelves are empty when all they need is enough to get by.
Hell, I joined Costco this year so I buy some things in bulk.

20. "I think the "rush" was a bit overstated" In response to Reply # 17
yes there was some panic
but if we just think about it
....all of the toilet paper usually used in schools and office buildings overnight needed to be in people's houses.
supplied by stores that use "just in time" delivery and don't stock extra for emergencies.
there's just not enough to go around, and what we needed at the start of the pandemic, was leadership that would redistribute simple essentials to where they needed to be, instead of oping people do their own thing responsibly
