I didn't write this post with hopes that anyone would agree with me, I wrote it in order to spark a discussion and get other points of view about the actual subject (the moving of goalposts by the .gov and how dangerous a precedent that could be for us in the future).
No one bothered to respond to the subject however.

no one "moved goalpoats" the goal has always been the same. slow the virus as much as possible and work towards a vaccine. The same way we handle most other diseases with a very low death rate... let it go.
Also, I'd recommend a better diet, exercise, not smoking and other things to improve one's natural health (something that I don't see from the .gov at all)

Those people were wearing masks and mainly outside - which both LOWER the infection rate.
You get a bunch of kids back into cramped schools with the doors closed because it's getting cold and they'll be A LOT more cases.
But in your world EVERYTHING'S the same. Viruses spread the same outside when masked in in a classroom with the door shut and 30 grade school kids in it with the heater on. (If those kids would only stop SMOKING!!!)

-increased rates of stroke and heart attack in adults in the 30 to 40 age bracket - I have to take beta blockers, to regulate my blood pressure, I have a non fatal heart condition that would be a bitch to manage if I had a bad infection.
-covid related hyper inflammatory disease in children. which, btw seems to disproportionately affect Afro Caribbean children
-covid brain - an emerging side effect that makes you feel stupid, lots and lots of brain fog
-long term respiratory damage
-the still yet to be answered question on reinfection
I'm watching the news, I'm catching the headlines...what fear are you seeing? What fear is being pushed?
To me it seems like we're where we were last month and the month before that "and today in the news...covid is still a thing, ok, back to you dianne"
