Y'all know em? Straight out of Congo, they make their own instruments and they have a Tiny Desk out that is really dope and they got that energy and I appreciate them
Anyway, the self-made instruments/inventor angle is insane... both in terms of the conditions/hardship leading to such ingenuity and how good they sound.
Hard not to feel like you're not doing enough in your life after watching a group produce that calibre of music from literally pots and pans, used plastic cartons, old wire, wood scraps, etc tho. lol
Hope they get big!
edit: also, this post reminds me a bit of (late) okp sha mecca bc she'd always share a lot of lingala songs/music. RIP sha
