"x-military brats, active, former military, how u feel about th nat'l ant..."
Those who were raised in the military, been military, are militar etc how do you feel about the national anthem. Remember they played it with video at the beginning of every movie at the base theater?

I definitely get some sort of feeling when I hear the Army- Navy-Air Force-Marines commercial again (it's in Stripes several times.)
I've seen so many movies on base including The Wiz.
The best was watching the movie "Uncommon Valor" , which is about going back to Vietnam and rescuing POWS, at the Camp Pendleton main movie theater (the one by the bowling alley "LeatehrNeck Lanes".)
My grandmother was there too.
Every time someone would get blown up in the movie all the Marine would scream "Oorah!."
After about 10 times my grandmother joined in at top volume.

Moving to Atlanta and going to a regular public school, Pledge of Allegiance and the anthem were meaningless to these kids here. With everything going on in this shit timeline and the Olympics not happening, it's pushed further down the line of importance.

because it makes me think about my bros, who we lost when I was over there. Not saying they are the only ones that matter, but they are the ones I knew, on a personally. The song itself...doesn't mean shit to me, at all.

and spent so much time standing at attention and holding rifles and flags while that song played I will honestly say for whatever reason it use to give me chills every time I heard it. It meant something to me.
I left active duty over 20 years ago, for a while the song still gave me chills when I heard it at sporting events but less and less. I'm not sure EXACTLY why, but I'm sure learning more about our government and the world situation around us plus maturity a lot of my views and changed over the years.
I don't feel anything about that song now and when athletes started kneeling I was all for it.
I've still stood for it attending sporting events, some folks sat, it was weird.

during that time I can count on both hands how many times I heard the anthem.
Unless you were color guard or something it was rarely played.
As far as how I feel about it?
I dont have it on my Spotify,Apple, or Tidal playlist anywhere.
