So that lets us know it was within the last year.
Unless you are just talking production.

and he might still be, we don't know.
i hope he's smarten'd up (Nas), and even if he has it's still fair to take him to task for his past actions.
i mean, even the Wash Us In The Blood video APPEARS to be speaking on police brutality, yet he was backing our Cheeto In Charge who is all for police brutality.
i just hope this "change" is real and lasting. not sure i'll still ever understand how he could say "George Bush doesn't care about black people" on live network TV then do all this MAGA shit.
all that said, the verse is obviously FAIRLY recent, at minimum.

Dude will hop on any bandwagon that’s poppin’
He’s going to ride with us now because he can sense Trump losing and the momentum is with BLM. So now yeah out in the streets protesting and donating money to Floyd’s kids education.
He’s not crazy.. he’s calculated and shallow.
Signed by Dame Dash.. and then left the club with Hov.
Same reason he got the most popular woman in the world as his wife.

Not sure why people think that was legit but this is fake.
I’ve always thought dude was trolling from jump to get in front of as many cameras as possible.

Kanye is like Lauryn Hill at this point, he is never coming back. Even if it looks he's on the road to recovery....it's not happening.
Don't care if the MAGA thing is calculated or not. No one who truly rides for their people would do or have done that. Potential dollar signs will always 'trump' his next move. You can never trust those who play both sides of the fence.

15. "I’m more concerned with him coming back with a good album" In response to Reply # 14
I think it’s a mistake to expect an artist to ride for his/her people.
A few do but it’s rare. Most artist just wanted to get famous and will do whatever they can to stay relevant.
Ye trashed W and we gave him the crown over it. We ignored a lot of am warning signs that dude was an attention whore.
