When something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with me disgusts me so much, I recognize the need for a little internal powerwashing, but I used to LOVE hip hop. As dr dre appreciation season comes in (lifetime achievement, new projects, etc), I will not be joining your dre day celebration.
I wrote out the many reasons why, but dropped it on my "get a blog" blog. I will drop this one point though - I did enjoy watching the very white Reed Hastings stunt on dre and donate $120M to HBCUs, while dre gave $70M to the already wealthy and 60% white/Asian and 5% Black undergrad USC, but ya know, not my money. That was your $300 headphone money. Maybe he put another $50M towards his FTP programs that he's keeping on the low?

anyway I'm looking forward to hearing it. Wtf does all that outside shit have to do with the music. Do we have to start going through every artist we like and finding out who they donate to and where they align politically.

R Kelly for being a pedo and molestor Chris Brown for being an abuser Ja Rule for being corny Ross was briefly done for being officer Ricky Jazzy got tossed to the side for loving transwomen Wyclef had the greasy motorcycle picture and then turns out he was robbing charities blind And I could go on and on ... but it seems people start to get all up in arms about this topic when they want to separate the artist from the art Which is completely your choice, you'll always have a community that agrees with you that the art should stand alone But don't act like Black people stopping fucking with or fucking with them less is in anyway new
