He can't play the outsider role since he is the definition of an insider.
It's hard to play the 2016 hits because it will just be a sign that he didn't get anything done. No wall. Obamacare still here. No "4, 5, maybe 6%" economic growth.
His people don't have a visceral hate for Biden like they did for Clinton.
So his rallies will just be his tweets in oral form. Rants on the unfair media. 20 minute explanations on why he stumbled down a ramp. Culture wars are the only interesting thing he's got
It's not the exciting hot ticket like it was 4 years ago.
