"This was supposed to just be a string of songs about what’s keepin’ the world in its clutches for more than a week already, but it turned into an audio documentary featuring 20 carefully selected tracks covering how it was, -and sadfully still is-, being Black in America. The years behind each track indicate how little has changed over the course of 50 years, and the decades, centuries, before were even worse. Cue Marvin: “This ain’t living”. The audio doc is split up in 4 parts: the injustice, the hurt, anger & hope, and can be listened to here for free, but a voluntary donation would really help. All proceedings will go to NAACP and Black Lives Matter. Support the cause."

Nigga had white kids singing about killing cops in a protest song against racist police brutality. Talk about hitting them where it hurts. I'll never forget him doing this on Arsenio and what he said in the interview about injecting white kids with the anger of the black kids. It's one of my favorites for these reasons. Just brilliant.
