the thing I keep thinking about when it comes to Candace Owens and all these other "new republican" black folks - is that it's all provocative statements with no real action plan or asks.

essentially though - it's a recap of a zoom meeting between a group of black conservatives (those who occupy the social media sphere as "influencers" and "voices" ) talking about the Ahmad Aubrey shooting.
These are all the types of folks who publicly state "lets wait for more information before reacting", but they were holding the stance that this was a pretty clear case of cold blooded murder.
One in the group held the point "uh, naw, we need to wait for more details"
Everyone in the group kept pushing like, really dude?
Then the holdout looses his cool on some "you niggas aint shit, it's on sight"
which is a telling moment because his whole persona is like a young Sheriff Clarke. Former cop, MAGA, been on fox news, white wife (nothing wrong with mixed marriages but there is some context here in his life), etc.

I totally agree with this approach. I've actually heard a podcast or two from that Uncle Hotep dude (hard to get through, but I got the gist), so I'm familiar with this crowd and how they think. I'm not a big fan of Roland either, but just about everybody makes a decent point once in a while.

I mean... white folks (racists) know he ain't shit, but they also know he's on their side, so they'll defend him... same as when they know these killings were wrong but defend the white person who did it. All in a day's work of upholding the system of white terrorism.

I used to be a thousand percent anti black republican. I used to think black republican folks we're elite, upperclass "bougie" negroes who got lost.
but now....I've begun to realize that I've been surrounded by black conservatives my whole life. I mean, yeah, we got the loud and wrong folks who will fight you to death over trivial points over family dinner a la Uncle Ruckus. But, I've started picking up on the idea that its the folks who just keep quiet about where they stand but are still down as hell who are turning out to be black conservatives all along.
The biggest trip up for me is learning that there are hood republicans. Like, bonafide from-the-hood/still-in-the-hood repubs.
I guess I'm saying....I thought I knew everything about people.
*republican in this case to mean in the "traditional sense" (what ever in the fuck that means) before we all died when the mayan calander ran out in 2012 and the wold hopped timelines, bertstein bears became berenstain bears. The pre-Trump, pre tea party GOP.
