for anyone curious about the book, Dr. Kendi explores antiracism through the lens of his own life growing up as a black kid in NYC then attending an HBCU
he is extremely self-critical as well as approaches the topic from a historical/scientific/common sense perspective
his overall thesis is that "not racist" doesn't exist. An idea or policy is either "racist" or "anti racist"...there's no neutral position.
he also delves pretty heavilly and thoroughly into the "double consciousness" of Black Americans...how we struggle with the dual concepts of assimilation and segregation
its worth a read and I definitely want to hear other Black men's perspective on the book
