Lets start off with weight classes.
Floyd is a natural lightweight. That is his true weightclass, same thing with Pac. Most of their fights took place at that level, maybe even lower for Pac. They both moved up from featherweight to WW, and floyd even fought at jr Mw. That's a five weightclass jump.
Do to their ability and mastery as boxers, they are able to fight at higher weight classes, and dominate their opponent.
Floyd walks around at 147! That is walk around weight for a lightweight, because they get into training and drop weight. So when floyd fought at Jr. MW, he had to to gain weight!
Now in order for a Tyson fight to take place, Tyson would have to drop to MW, because it would be impossible for floyd to go up any further from his original start as a boxer. Example: Roy Jones and Sugar Ray Leonard, both started around WW And Jr Middleweight, and then made the five class jump to light heavy weight/heavyweight.
If floyd were to move up past middleweight, it would affect his boxing tremendously, because his ability is highly predicated on speed and agility, and lots of it. He has never been a big power puncher, which is needed once you get past Jr middleweight. Leonard and Roy always had extreme knockout power, so it went with them when they moved up in weight, and both became champions on that higher level. But you saw Roy's speed take a hit at that higher weight...he wasn't as fast
Tyson has never fought as a MW, so draining his body would affect his power. Also, tyson has always lacked boxing endurance, and faded as the rounds went on. So he would be even weaker at a lower weight.
In a situation of Tyson fighting Floyd at MW, would be an easy victory for Floyd due to his familiarity and comfort of fighting at that weight. And since Floyd gets better as the fight goes on, his speed, defense, and intelligence would be too much for tyson.
Floyd fighting Tyson at anything higher than MW, and Floyd would probably lose due to his lack of power, and the weight would slow him down...However, I'm willing to say that Floyd would have a better shot at beating Tyson at heavyweight, if he were to gain the weight to move up, than Tyson having a chance of beating Floyd at MW....Tyson fought a lot of dumb fighters, but when he got in the ring with smart fighters like Evander and Lewis, he couldn't hang.......Intelligence is superior to muscle.
Floyd is the superior pugilist, and it isn't even close.
However, this is all fantasy talk, because in real life it would never happen.
