already listened to the new kota single featuring bas and joey bada$$. i dig it, gets better on every listen. kind of track that could have a ton of remixes. the album is supposed to come out next friday although i have seen 5/15 as the release date too.

I keep checking because he does have it in him to release good albums (at least I hope he still does), but I haven't enjoyed a Drake project since NWTS.
That's the best way I can think of his music now. The hunger is gone; he just uses formulaic production and candences that he knows will generate numbers

I've only given it one listen so far, but it's sounding really good. He's hard for me because the amount of reverb he likes to put on songs, is just... kinda grating to me. But Qadir is incredible. It doesn't have that. When I saw the video for Bouncing earlier this week the reverb was back. But when I listened to the album I didn't hear it so much. I was cooking tho. Definitely gotta spend some more time with it.

i never understood people that would say "i dont really listen to rap anymore" but uh i think i somehow am becoming one. im noticing most of my favorite projects this and last year could only be described as kinda hip hop. definitely minimal rapping.
already checked out the new kota last night and it is dope. might be his best album yet. gonna give it another listen now. also wanna check out that new raw poetic and damu, Ocean Bridges. probably checking out gunna, ksi, styles p and young ma too.

considering they've been a trash pop rock band TO ME up to this point, they really stepped it up. a lot of great experimentation and production for what they've put out previously.

...that's about a third of the album which you have to understand is a shit ton for me since i can count on like 2 fingers the number of their songs i've like in their career previous to this and almost all of the songs i listed i REALLY like.
not sure why im not really feeling it. sonically its pretty much what ive been on but for some reason i dont love this. ill probably give the album another spin a different time.
