Once I have a process that works I don't want to hear about some new shiny thing that will save me 5 seconds but take me 5 days to figure out. Not worth the time.

the shit they do. problem is less clicks ultimately leads to more folks laid off because of better efficiencies.

I learn a lot of new stuff myself, but I hate being involved in other folk's livelihoods. hoping to switch jobs internally soon.

It has to be something seriously special for me to even consider it.

I have a good friend that's a local house DJ. He keeps telling me about sets he's spinning at, but I just want to tell him, "Look man, you're my boy, but If you aren't actively behind the tables at 9pm...it ain't happening. A few times he's caught me out there. I show up at 10, to hear, "Yeah, I go on after Kemit, should be about midnight..."

That means, I going to see about 20-30 minutes of his set before I bounce.

One of the young ladies at the table didn't recognize several of the songs we were mentioning.

"Who sings that?" she said.

We all kinda gave her a half "How do you not know this" look. We told her that those were songs by BIG and Tupac.

"Didn't they both die in the late 90s?" she asked.

We answered yes...Tupac died in the fall of 96 and BIG died in the spring of 97.

"Oh OK. I wasn't even born yet," she said matter of factly.

Th rest of us were quiet for a sec and then gave her the stink eye for making us feel old as dirt.

I’ve felt old for a while because of this.

They walk side by side in the middle of the street instead of on the miles and miles worth of unused sidewalks.

The teens like to sit in parked cars with the engine running and the headlights on for hours at a time. Shit looks like a bad stakeout.

One of the elementary schoolers told another one to sit their monkey ass down and I was SUPER offended lol.
