i came in to work about a couple hours ago and just finished listening to the second album of the day. not much to do at work so definitely had the time for it. im hoping to get through at least two more today, maybe 4.

But I agree on 3 of those 4 songs as being the most enjoyable. Red Cup doesn’t do it for me. Baby Bam definitely stronger than Mike G but he has seemingly gone All In on the Greg Nice rhyme style and it’s hit or miss. Production and vanilla choruses don’t help, and the elementary lyricism makes it to where no new fans will be created. Oh well, glad they’re still together and making music.

im definitely not listening expecting to hear amazing bars. its just a cool vibe and his voice doesnt bother me at all. im not sure i would say this is better than LULU. I gotta re-listen to that. i loved both of them.
i havent heard a full album by benny that i loved i dont think. i think he still hasnt clicked for me.
it has some truly fantastic songs in the beginning and the end. i was loving it 5 songs in. track 6 came on and i said...what happened??? looked at the track name and saw featuring future...oh. truth be told he had some nice parts in it...not a bad song but not at the level of the first 5. then the next two tracks were eh too. outlandish was good...then back to meh for 3 tracks. between us was good...then back to fire. ...Again is whoa.
8 tracks that i love, 2 that i really like. the rest can go away lol. this needs the illmatic treatement.
as it stands its a 4.5/5 but it should be a 5/5. not sure how repeat listens will affect it but i dont see it dropping below a 4/5.

only 6 songs, he explained he did so because most jazz albums were usually around 6 songs. he also recorded it in italy with the band while he was there for 7 days. regardless this is beautiful. 5/5 for me.
he is selling vinyl, coming from europe so shipping is kinda expensive. only 300 are being pressed though. 1 lp 45 rpm.

both these projects are great. i loved the kali uchis ep. only 4 songs but theyre all great.
this is the first quelle chris album ive listened to that i actually enjoyed. its kind of heavy. i think its great 4.5/5 and it might grown on me more.

I'm really glad she put I Want War on there. Fans have been clamoring over that one for about a year now. A few months ago, in response to people dying her for to release it, she was like "yeah that's probably not gonna come out for a long time." She was referring to it coming out sometime after the next album. So, it's dope she changed course on that.

But I would like a project that is as good as Urban Flora (or better obv). The Color Of You wasn't. At I don't think this one is either. But like I said, I've only given it a single listen so far. Maybe my opinion will change. I don't think either project is bad by any means, but not as good as I would hope for after that stunning debut.
Edit: I do wonder what happened between her and Galimatias though. I vaguely remember reading there was a falling out or something. Which is amusing to me because she still does try to throw in some elements of his production style

UF was super dope and like you said it was moment in time but this one is pretty much straight R&B and it doesn't sound so electronic. too bad she can't sing live for crap cause joints would kill live with a singer with a strong voice. she should maybe try modeling and ghostwriting
it's solid, but him releasing music again has got me really ready for a new Zay album. his last two remain on the playlist and get better with age -- my favorite rapper of this generation.
