I agree but even those last couple songs worked on me on repeat listens.

I’m not gonna make the same mistakes we made in the mid-90s when we got so spoiled by genre-altering classics that we didn’t appreciate good raps. I feel so guilty about it still. I feel like we opened the portal that led to some of the horribly bad stuff we get stuck with now. I remember going around begging folks to try Reasonable Doubt and Ridin Dirty. Now stuff that sounds like an EP of outtakes from those albums get fawned over because shit got so fucked up along the way.

This thing is good raps with Jay-Z Ghosting dude’s Rae. And I caught hella blasts from hype verses so I’m happy.

It feels like ‘fuck it, we are too dope to not do this while we’re both still alive’: the album. And after all of the death and disappearances we’ve encountered over the years, I am happy this piece of work happened and it’s good.

I’ll be honest and admit right here that I had no belief this thing would ever happen.

Can’t wait to listen with my fans.

Yep. I’ve heard the whole thing front to back at least 5 times now. It’s short and sweet and good. But I’m one of those folks who wasn’t pressed for a Jay Elec album so I went into it pleasantly surprised. Then Jayz went batshit throughout it and Elec was hella steady AND I like the production.

It's all that.
