Looks like they subcontract most of the work, which means dudes from Home Depot parking lots are going to be building these $500k+ homes.

Personally, almost all new houses built around here (Philly) look like poor to mediocre construction, with no difference between $1 million+ homes and $250k homes. They ALL look slapped-together.

West coast is much different than east obviously, but here in the east I'd much prefer an old house or old house that was rehabbed vs. new construction.
