Yea I lived in Little Armenia until like a month ago...
Was very interesting in talking to the older folks... I think their identity battle with middle eastern-ness comes from all the powers surrounding the country... Turkey massacred them and they are firmly middle eastern and theyre Christian unlike their Persian neighbors to the south (although they kick it with their Persian cousins A LOT esp in LA)
Then there is the ever-present Russian influence...
So even though they are "chose" white they certainly don't assimilate (till the money comes) the same way other white ethnicities do. They still move around like they just got off the boat. They keep to themselves and have a solid un-seen cultural network.... I mean how can they have SO many damn party/event halls with club lights.
I actually think Kim (& co) has made things interesting for them as the most famous Armenian and going against the grain (in physicality) by leaning into the middle eastern, swarthy-ness and amping up this clear phenotype difference rather than trying to dissolve into the blob of whiteness.
Tbh her effect (and of course Beyonce) might also be the reason for people like Ariana grande and most recently Rosalia digging INTO the Latina-looking where a generation ago they would simpy been Christina Aguilera.
I mean Rosalia isn't even Latina she is straight-up old world Spain ass Spanish and is fully cos-playing a Latina (leaning on arabic/flamenco influence) to great effect.

I'm not sure what you would consider racially ambiguous then. most people seeing that pic for the first time wouldn't be able to tell if she's latina, arab, indian, persian, native, etc..

I don't for the life of me know where this Revisionist History is coming from. She was the least known entity in the crew she ran with. Everyone else was blonde and part of the Hollywood elite.
