"could you fix our culture/ community w/ $42,000 a month?"

this is a steady income of $42,000 a month, $504,000 yearly

besides giving it away to the hungry, homeless, and kids, what would you do with it?

what seeds could be planted or self sustaining programs inplemented?

How much change can a small non-profit do?

If I had that to give away I'd probably give scholarships. You can change a few lives deeply rather than touch lots of lives on the surface.

interest alone in the 5th year would be from $180K to $360K

could that fund a few free early childhood and elementary schools that specialize in economics?

by the time those kids are ready for high school, the investment should be in the double digits in millions with the interest being around a million a year, that could fund the building of the high school needed with the same economics focus.

4 years later you could send those kids to college, full ride if they pursue an education in economics, partial for all other majors pursued.

they graduate, and through their economics training come back to the community and invest in it.

meanwhile, the elementary, middle, and high schools are still pumping out kids under the same economics education program.

....self sustaining

but programs i do throw money at:
- before and after school care (donate)
- mental health advocacy groups (wife volunteers)
-tutoring (personally do it)
- food banks (donate)
- daycare (donate)

my mom has run non profits for years and gave me a number one time to actually do what they wanted to do in the community...it was upwards of 5 mill to do it right

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

Hiring young and old people from my city to work the farm, learn agriculture, construction, etc. Backhoe, forklift, tractor, maybe a small crane, etc. Get them licensed for all that. Means I gotta hire trainers too.

especially with the amount of displaced black farming families today.

i have an idea for a healthy fresh ‘fast food’ restaurant, similar to what Ray Allen has. and the perfect location for them to be put in to thrive.

the food to supply these restaurants could come from the same farms

in this location
the culture promotes exercise
encourages healthy eating
is gainfully employed making over $50K
locations across the country
and thousands residing and working in each location
