you can just avoid the costume if you think you can't pull it off also here even with blackface it seems potentially unclear.
some of these "no blackface needed" memes have shown good examples of ones where the costume was clear and creative sans black face. others show that some of these are kinda lousy halloween costumes off the top. that little white kid who dressed as malcolm x (no blackface) didn't really pull it off. why? a malcolm x costume just looks like you got a nerdy ass suit on and glasses.

Haven't seen the memes, but this always reminds me of the Cool Runnings outfit I saw once, four friends dressed as the Jamaican bobsled team in those full sled outfits walking around in a line holding a cardboard bobsled around them. The fact that some of them were white didn't make it any less clear what it was.

I was almost a little bit annoyed it came out as a Blackface story. Like the video is in the dark so you can't really tell, and I could totally see some okp humour in it like that old post. I think I want a Common impersonator not in blackface now so I don't feel guilty.
