saw this sticker on a van yesterday. it confused me. i never considered that deaf or hard at hearing people needed special consideration for driving. made me google it. i guess it makes sense to alert other drivers or police officers that the person driving is deaf so theyre not clueless as to why the driver isnt possibly responding to audio signals.
it also touched on not hearing an ambulance approaching but honestly most of the time i dont hear one over the radio. noticing other cars slowing down or pulling over is usually enough of a signal to look out. looks like they do also sell devices that can give the driver visual signals for such situations but theyre not necessary.
it was interesting to look this up.
that said, i was stopped behind this driver and when the light turned green they took a while to start driving. i considered pressing my horn but...well thats not really my style and then i remembered the sticker lol. to be clear i dont think the slow start had anything to do with being able to hear. i have no issue with deaf people being allowed to drive. just a the more you know moment.

I think I may have come in too high (for them) or maybe I didn’t give them enough options.
I just gave them one price for a decent amount of rebranding items.
It’s a fair price tho...
Not giving away work anymore. I have to design a button this evening.

Learned the hard way from doing websites for people. I charge based-on the time it takes me to complete a project, so when folks balk it's like they don't give a fuck about the value of my time. Pissed me off so much I completely stopped doing freelance web work. Just wasn't worth it compared to what I make at my day job (comparing hourly rates). Rather keep that free time to work on my own side projects.

6. "I hate the term ally. " In response to Reply # 0
It feels like a catch all cop out. It’s just a label. I’m at a strange point in life driven by a number of things that I need a verb as opposed to a noun. Are you a person that agrees with, encourages, stands with, fights for ... etc. Ally allows a person to just obfuscate all of that under a general understanding that an ally isn’t an enemy. But there are times when passive silence aides the enemy, are they in allyship at those times?
