Listen to this dude talk crazy for 2 hours with Van Lathan. After watching Wiley's rant about Kaepernick on his Fox Sports show I was interested in hearing a longer explanation of how he came to hating on Kaepernick. I listened to his rant on this show (starts around 57:00 mins in) it didn't really make no sense.

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/van-lathans-the-red-pill/id1350597227?i=1000448470867

America has imported more warlord theocracy from Afghanistan than it has exported democracy.

Hadn't seen this interview. He is much clearer here than what he was saying in the interview with Van Lathan.

He faults Kap for the messaging getting lost

How Sway (c)

Trumpster and his base hijacked the protest and made it about what they wanted it to be about

...MSM followed suit...

as he stated, he has Kap's number

if he was really, genuinely concerned and wanted to help...why didn't he?

Did he really imply that Kap was being silent?

Not that he was silenced...but that he wasn't visible enough...really?

WTF

Also some bullshit to try and say he should have done the protesting at the height of his career

...he did what he thought was right when he came to understand the issues...

I really can't follow Wiley's thought process here

This shit just happened a couple of years ago...and he's already revising history

FOH.

re: Wiley's perspective on why he questions who gets to be the voice/face/defender of this particular cause

having watched 7 of the umpteen in this series with vladtv - he spends a lot rambling, but there are points throughout worth considering

yes, I listened to him recount a couple of run-ins with LAPD

?

are we assuming Kap hasn't experienced similar incidents?

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/feb/01/nfl-racial-profiling-colin-kaepernick

again...he could pick up the phone and speak directly to the man...if he chose

he chose to do these interviews and use his platform to criticize Kap

Why?

He was once an NFL player...but didn't use that platform to protest systemic oppression

He has a platform on a major network...but didn't use that platform to protest systemic oppression

...all he's doing, from what I can tell, is criticizing someone who did...

prolly because "everybody" else is? i think that is actually a salient question for everybody (especially since *he* doesn't actually say much period)

personally, i think Kapernick got his settlement so whatever NFL beef there was is moot

as far as the REST of it (police brutality and other systemic racial animus) i think anybody assuming or critiquing other peoples work is kinda iffy

either join 'em or do your own is my personal deal

>yes, I listened to him recount a couple of run-ins with LAPD

its important because it's relevant. here in these OKP streets folks LOVE to voice w/o giving attention to the actual context in play

>are we assuming Kap hasn't experienced similar incidents?

who is we? why is Wiley?

you would have to ask him (though he does speak to his perspective on Kapernick's credibility)

wiley *seems* to explain his own personal experiences and the perspectives that they give and how his perception/knowledge re: kapernick leaves him with credibility questions

hell, maybe they are banging like that and getting the daily popop run up in Wisconsin (or wherever) i dunno

>again...he could pick up the phone and speak directly to the
>man...if he chose
>
>he chose to do these interviews and use his platform to
>criticize Kap
>
>Why?

that's what they whole thing (this series of explanatory clips on VladTV) is about

i think...

>He was once an NFL player...but didn't use that platform to
>protest systemic oppression

so because he didn't kneel he didn't do anything?

seems like the assuming thing you were talking about up above

>He has a platform on a major network...but didn't use that
>platform to protest systemic oppression
>...all he's doing, from what I can tell, is criticizing
>someone who did...

"from what you can tell" is a hella slippery slope

but hey, you can land wherever your feet touch
