Where are you getting that Kaep cashed a check from the settlement? I thought the terms of the settlement were private?
Also the issue with Kaep isn’t just him getting his job back, it’s (1) that the owners (allegedly) conspired to keep him out of the league for protesting in the first place and (2) addressing the social justice issues that made Kaep protest in the first place.
Even if Jay convinced an owner to sign Kaep, that’s not even half the fight. That’s why Jay saying we are “past kneeling” and that now it’s time for “action” is so absurd because what action is he going to take to deal with Point 2 above? I’m willing to wait but Jay isn’t exactly Huey P Newton, so saying we are past protesting, like Jay has plans to restart the Panthers or something, sounds a little absurd.

From my conversations with them they were trying to connect dots with chicago artists that had non profits and or other organizations that were on the ground they could connect dots with.
I know the artists they wanted were all in schedule conflicts but not sure if the dots are still connecting on social orgs.
Contrary to what many may think the functionality of this relationship is extremely new so its gonna take a sec.

The under discussed aspect of this whole thing is what Kaep did BESIDES kneeling.
He not only gave his own money and time in supporting social justice organizations and knowyourrights camps, he was able to influence many others in doing the same. Why didn't Jay choose to partner with him and support some of the organizations that money was going to?
The Koch brothers supported criminal justice reform so that rich motherfuckers wouldn't be punished as harshly. They gave to many public works and even supported UNCF.
You DO have a choice in who to partner with to create change. Camelboy didn't need to go about it this route.
