Coming from bass & keys, I never had to deal with that BS before. Just grab a 5-string or move your hands left.
One a guitar tho, it's just more fiddling with shit. I refuse to change out of standard tuning. Straight covering songs in the wrong key or octave because I ain't doing all that.
Work is work. Thinking about going into management. Would mean no more programming, but I've lost interest in coding anyway.

I'm not huge on tuning changes either but once in a while for playing the really heavy stuff to get those low Keys... and then you can also get some amazing arpeggio and fingerpicking results.. but I hear you fiddling with all that is a pain... solved by multiple guitars in various tunings.

But on the other hand, got some good shit done for a good friend. Built her a deck and ramp to get in and out of her house. Had a good workout this morning and then that happened, so was feeling very accomplished today..... And the new Rapsody album is definitely one I've been working on getting to. I listen to so little new music right now, especially hip hop, because I'm not in the car for long periods of time and when I am, kids are there too. But I will for sure get on it.

Hung out with my dad all day on Friday. Cleaned the kitchen up for him..talked about my mom, Jay Z, Cam Newton, Michael Irvin vs. Jerry Rice..it was dope.
Saturday-checked out a dude thats in our little facebook music sharing group at his gig. Really dope spot. Went to my gig and man...the love I felt in there was off the charts. Was supposed to play from 2-630...ended up playing until almost 8. Went to this spot called Soul afterwards with the owner and had a "quasi-date" with someone I've called "NL (next lifetime)" and "Kryptonite". It was soooooooo cool being with somebody that shares your same energy, and we've known each other for years, so it's not like it was on some "yeah yall just met though". Man that was nice.
Went to visit my moms grave for the first time on Sunday. That was surreal.
Monday..ehh..back to the grind. Finally finished "Mad Dogs" on Amazon. Started working on a new cassette with some of the new records I got over the weekend.

Never used it, but it has the logo on it and looks nice so I kept it on my desk. New chick comes in (months ago now), asks to use it. I drink a lot of water, and what inevitable happens is I run out of bottled and start drinking tap. For a variety of reasons I'd like to avoid tap water *sad face*. Been pricing it a bit, and 15 gallons a month + a water dispenser rental is about $30 a month. Honestly not too bad.
Haven't decided yet, but I kinda want to. It almost feels a bit dramatic, but I drink a lot of water, and it'll be one less thing to worry about. Plus they have bottom loading units, and if I had to try and change a top loading unit it'll never happen (lifting 5 gallons of water? fuck nooooo).
$30 for the convenience ain't bad.

i remember i wanted to do the same before. i was limiting myself to spring water and there didnt seem to be options here for that so i dropped it.
i would definitely would go with a bottom loading one. my brother was talking about this on saturday. one of his friends works in delivery for water so he was getting the hook up on it.
a gallon of water is around $1 right? so double the cost for convenience? do they have a choice for buying a machine and only delivering the water? dont know what the ROI would be for that.
i definitely need to reduce/eliminate how many small water bottles i use.

I've seen one service that rents it for free and other services that rent it from 2.99-12.99 a month. Ideally, (and I even hate saying this cause I'll die if it doesn't come true) ideally I would be moving out of this state within 2 years, so paying $160 out right for something that I know I'm going to throw out in two years isn't worth it for me when I can pay $70 dollars or so to rent that same item.

If you own your home or don't plan on moving anytime soon then a unit would be a good investment. I plan on picking one up when I have the extra funds. Tap water has its' issues, but so does water stored in plastic containers.

although i guess its still a good problem? my raise was not what i was expecting. boss tried to say it was because they had to pay the operators more to bring them up to market. how is that my fault? considering the mistakes ive made in the past years i guess i should be happy with any raise.
i would have been happy to have not met with him and just gotten the raise to be honest. they had already announced we were getting one. i guess i would have questioned the amount if he didnt meet with me. the meeting made me sour on it but i guess its a good thing.
Then, it's four days off before I go dive head first into a new gig with a whole different set of responsibilities and personalities to juggle.
Debating hitting that Jill Scott show at the MGM this weekend. Need to start cleaning the basement and packing stuff up for the move we're about to make. And I'm throwing some food on the pit this weekend. Rain or shine, I'm doing it.

I need to get a real ass Antenna so I can get all these free local channels. I can’t get CBS when I scan my TV and I’m going to need that for football season.
