*** Coming into this office now that I'm seeking other employment is futile. Had a nice interview last week and got another lined up for this Wednesday. Also expecting a call from another company who has been on my tail since May. They didn't balk at the number I gave them. So, I'm ready to roll... My current PM is checked out now too. She ain't here again today and won't be tomorrow. Prolly out looking for her own landing spot.
*** Long weekend full of birthday celebrations for my wife has me drained this morning. It was a STAYCATION w/o getting a hotel. Last Thursday, she and I spent the afternoon in a cabana at the Four Seasons. We ate and drank good! Then on Friday evening, we had dinner and cake with her girlfriends. Way too many shots! On Saturday, I had another group of 18 meet us out for crabs down near the water around Annapolis. Shots! Shots! Shots! And capped off the weekend yesterday in DC at Sequoia's for more drinks and food. Needless to say, I'm exhausted and she's been smiling despite being equally exhausted.
*** Prepping to take my little one to school this week. About to start her third year at Howard already. That time is flying!

less than I was hoping for. So, I asked for them to make it up with a few more PTO days. I'm hopeful they come through with that because I really wanna land at this spot and be there for a long minute.

We moved all the lumber to get to the scaffolding and I was reaching down to get the one piece that would have been useful and there it was. Freaked me the fuck out. Snakes are too fucking creepy, man. Nothing should move like they do, it's just not right.
It did get killed, but I was at least 20 feet away by then. Fuck that.
weekend started out cool, until my friend started drinking. we ended up arguing in public her more vicious. I walked off because I didn’t wanna blow up her world.

you ever wonder about animals that become instant targets for us and what that existence is like... you know like how spiders get stomped on sight.. they have 8 eyes! what do you think that's like?.. should be enough to see the boot coming no?
snakes.. nobody messses with snakes not like for real.... we aren't all out there getting our steve irwin on and getting all curious we are taking off and/or killing that sucker.
mice n rats.. folks might not be quick to just squash one cause they don't want to deal with the blood and guts.. but we'll poison them. break their necks with spring loaded traps, stick them and starve them on glue strips, electrocute, encourage our pets to kill them etc... I mean we got it in for these things under pretty much any circumstance.
(and for the record everybody should be able to enjoy their food choices, but I personally *hate* jello and the thought of jello with a savory food sounds even worse)

you've curated a list with images there but I'm very reluctant to click cause frankly yeah yuck don't put stuff in jello round me... in fact jello itself, while not the worst on it's own, it is never a go to.
I use to mess with a little cottage cheese and pineapple.. and I suppose maybe some jello with some fruit cocktail but I could never understand the appeal of the whole jello mold meal item.

OKP went down, then Instagram stopped working on my phone and I didn't really miss either. Well, I missed you guys, but not all the posts about politics that were here pre-crash. I spend way more time reading tutorials and articles than surfing now. IG still ain't working for me.
Still been playing the guitar. Getting much better. Started jamming with folks too. Wanting to record myself, but I can't find my only mic cord for some reason.

I bought a new guitar in late may early june but I haven't played it anywhere near enough.... life has been a bit oxygen sucking of late.

We just went to her parents house at the coast and let the kids chill with their cousins.
Took them to the candy store. Some Willy Wonka type store with candy in big ass baskets. It was so awesome seeing them runaround and scoop up tons of candy to throw in the bag. I put 85% of it back but literally seeing my kids in a candy store was awesome.
Took the wife to an oyster bar and said money don’t matter tonight.
Capped it off with a trip to the beach. They loved it.
I feel bad seeing my nieces beg for my attention because their father ain’t shit. My kids don’t like when their cousins try to snuggle.
So now we are back and it’s the last week before daycare starts back up. We are looking into preK. Applying and putting in our income is mad humbling. All that money and we don’t get to keep any of it once daycare starts. It looks like we are caked up on paper.

my phone crapped out last night.
had trouble with android auto on my way home. thought the cable gave out. charged my phone when i got home without issue. plugged it in when i went to bed, woke up an hr late. check my phone its turned off and wont turn on. no lights nothing.
been trying some things to get it to power on, different ways to charge it, cables, etc. no luck. that was sudden.
ive been looking at deals and not too impressed. verizon is offering me $300 off any s10. att has a bogo +$300 reward card. i dont see why not do that.
im gonna take off early to go to the stores and see whats up.

Will probably do it before our weekly PMO meeting. That way she knows what she is dealing with before going in there. They (the company) had to know one shoe was gonna drop once the word got out out about the funding being cut short.
