"why dont we organize?"

i know there are brand boycotts and such but why arent we using technology to really organize?

set up organized strikes so that action is taken on issues? i would be willing to participate to force the senate to pass the gun reform bill the house passed. would do so for other issues as well.

would it not work?

im sure there are at least a few issues a huge portion of the population agrees on that can get plenty of support.

no?

especially if it only effects their passive income
people really think Stephen Ross is sweating
Soulcycle and Equinox are holding investments
they are not anywhere near a top priority for him
that fundraising is still going to happen

what people are going to have to do is boycott the current matrix we live in....that goes beyond boycotting

>i think it would work, at least once.

no, we are cyclic as a society. The part of the industry that would downturn would benefit another and rinse and repeat.
Capitalism is everything for this society
pain creates money
so yea 20% of the labor force could strike right now
and it would move the needle...but would it be worse than a recession?
and you see what changed after that

>how much does the 8% care about keeping assault rifles legal?
>

lol...enough to spend 100's of millions on lobbying efforts

but what is keeping the local organizations from making big change happen?

there are definitely people out there spending time on this but we need much more. some issues can be handled locally but some things really need a bigger collective. what is keeping that from happening? how can we change that?

Being online can fool us into thinking that everyone is up in arms and outraged about whats going on but the truth is, most people don't care about what's going on with regards to most issues.

Even polls that show that a majority of people want some gun control the truth is how many of those people would take real hard action to make it happen?

I think about how so many people talk about how important it is to save the environment but most people compain about using paper straws. Folks just aren't willing to sacrifice much for the greater good.

maybe

i think many can be moved to take action if they see others doing it.

im just confused why we lack enough organization in this age when communication is so easy. i wont fool myself to think anything like 50% of people would participate. i think 20% is a bit optimistic.

i want to see more than sharing images on social media and hash tags.

But the Senate actually acted in direct violation of the systems rules by ignoring the will of the people as it was clearly presented.

Maybe the question is closer to can a broken system still function? Or how broken is it?

and if most of if not the entirty of the majority demographic is more willing to kill innocents to protect their own misguided insecurities as opposed to their own future generations it really looks bleak for that group and perhaps it's time for that? IDK the actions are speaking really loud right now.

Is it a form of tyranny or oppression when the government actively ignores or intentionally acts against the people?

Until I saw the response to his recent attempt to organize a PAC.
King - "ANNOUNCEMENT: We are building a 50 state campaign to flip the Senate from conservatives."
vs. his opponents, who respond with..."Your 50-state strategy might be a case of poor resource allocation because there are only 34 states electing a U.S. Senator in 2020."
Claiming his led effort as an opportunistic racism-ambulance-chasing personal cash grab.

General distrust explains to me why organizational efforts are plagued.
