"Who was the first 'bad bitch'?"

Who was the woman with that prototypical look, and when did she appear? I imagine Kim Kardashian didn't come up with that look, so who was she following?

Liz Taylor? Eartha? Marilyn Monroe? Pam Grier? I don't know.

J-Lo came with the 'look at my ass, folks' steeze in the 90s. Porn and high speed innanet held hands and point out more of the same through the 00s and even now.

He’s asking who first introduced us to the modern ‘look’. That Instagram model aesthetic.

Kim might’ve been the launchpad tbh.

I still plant a flag for Jennifer Lopez. My memory tells me this is so. Maybe it's just my age (low 40s). But I swear she showed up with a gang of backyard holdings on that Selena movie in like 1997 and folks were all over her and/or anyone anything like her thereafter.

I remember the follow-up parade of video ladies (Gloria Valez, Melyssa Ford). The porn chicks (Ricki White, Luscious Lopez). Movie stars (Salma, Penelope). And yeah, the 'here's a pic of my big ole almost naked ass' girls from the early 2000s like Vida or even Aria Giovanni. Lawd lawd lawd Aria Giovanni. But I viewed all of those as follow-ups.

She made big asses acceptable.

She dated Diddy and had the whole “from the block” bullshit thing that white dudes loved.

Poster above said Vida, but there was a host of chicks that all popped up at the same time with the same aesthetic...Vida, Gloria Velez, Melyssa Ford, Esther Baxter, Buffy The Body, Rosa Acosta, Karrine Steffans...etc.

I like Vidal for this title as well. The reason I don't think it's JLo is because it's not just a big ass, but that eyelash thing, and those beat eyebrows. JLo was a component, but Buffy had all those components.

And also, of all the video vixens, she was the one that got XXL and magazine covers, more than Esther. It has to be someone that women looked at their picture everywhere and said "men like this chick, I'll change my look to her".

Kim K perfected the Kim K “bad bitch” look

She was the first to really pool all the diff looks together and present plastic surgery on this grand level
